Namco Bandai’s Retro Anime Game Collection Comes Out In November

Been itching to play Dragon Ball: Mystery of Shenlong or Go Go Ackman 3? You only have to wait until November 7 because Namco Bandai is re-releasing them for Nintendo 3DS in a compilation called Bandai Namco Games Presents J Legend Biography.

The games in the J Legend Biography are straight ports with few bells and whistles. Jump reports that Namco Bandai added in hints, a digital manual, and a zoom function. That’s about it, but if you want to play through both parts of Saint Seiya: The Golden Legend this is for you. Here are the five games you get for 4,980 yen ($51).

Nice job having a screenshot of Dragon Power.

Oh god, I knew it was Dragon Power, but I didn’t want to acknowledge it. The horror, the horror.

Not convinced many of the NES anime games were good, still the minority of licensed games are pretty subpar.

I’ll probably wait till it’s on sale and I’ve seen more of these older works.
Very curious why they went for Go Go Ackman 3, each of the games are on the SNES, so it would have made sense to pick the first if any one.

If you grow up with these games, or if you’re REALLY into retro games, I think you’ll like it. Otherwise, even if you like the anime and manga that these games come from, I think you might want to leave this one out. I remember playing the heck out of the Saint Seiya games, though. Good times… (but I couldn’t beat it, I ended watching my brother completed it instead.)

I want Saint Seiya: Golden Legend! One of the very first game that I owned. Picked by my dad because he knew I am Saint Seiya fan. Thanks, Dad !

He did not know it was in Japanese !!
So, I played it while did not understand anything in the game. AT ALL !!

But I still enjoyed and completed(not sure how I did it) the game.

A bit too expensive for 5 famicom anime games.
I wish Namco Bandai released something like the equivalent of Capcom’s Arcade Cabinet for PSN/XBL/etc.

Like Namco Museum but downloadable (including Wonder Momo and Valkyrie no Densetsu of course)

Ah, I love old game cartidges.

Remember when things were colourful? Discs today are boring.
