Fable Legends Announced For Xbox One, Be Good Or Evil With Friends

By Spencer . August 20, 2013 . 2:44am

Lionhead Studios and Microsoft announced Fable Legends for Xbox One. The game is an action RPG like other titles in the Fable series, but this time it takes place in an online connected Albion. Fable Legends supports online co-op with up to three friends or you can solo the game with three A.I. companions.

Like other Fable games you can choose to be good or evil. A twist is evil players can command creatures, traps, and other elements in the environment. Hero players have to fight through the obstacles villain players create. Villains can control minions in real time and use SmartGlass to hide their plans from a hero player in local co-op.

I want to believe that a Fable game truly worthy of succeeding the first will be released one day (2 came close, but wasn’t quite there). I want to believe that this will be that game.

Please don’t hurt me again, Lionhead.

I really hope they bring the custom weapon system from the 3rd game if nothing else. It was so much fun seeing weapons take form depending on what you did and killed.

Seems ambitious, might make a good social game but without any other elements shown, I can make a full judgement yet

Meh, Fable 3 pretty much killed my enthusiasm for the series. Might still give this one a try if it makes it to PC…and ends up in a Steam sale
