The Guided Fate Paradox Includes Soundtrack At Launch

guidedLike Disgaea? Did you remember Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman? The Guided Fate Paradox is like a spiritual sequel to Z.H.P. since you can customize Renya with different parts and explore grid based dungeons.

The Guided Fate Paradox is slated for release on October 25 in Europe and November 5 in North America. The first print also includes the game’s official soundtrack. Why did Nippon Ichi Software make The Guided Fate Paradox instead of a sequel to Z.H.P.? Read this.

I do wonder if this will see any greater success than ZHP, considering it seems to arrive on the heels of D2… doesn,t seem to make forvery good odds to put two on the surface so similar games so close to each other, especially since one is part of a famous franchise and the other is a new IP. Guess we will see how this goes.

  • I am still confused on why this isn’t a Vita game.

    I loved ZHP.

    • I think I remember reading sometime back that they wanted to port ZHP to the PS3, but Sony said no due to no real upgrade planned from the PSP version and SPRIIIITES– and this was mainly due to the fact that the PSP was dying outside of Japan.

I think Guided Fate Paradox is their way of getting around that rejection and getting the game out to a much wider audience than the PSP would’ve allowed them, and chances are more high that we’ll see a port to the Vita instead in a few years time.

      • Oh yeah I forgot about Sony and their weird graphical thing about sprites. Yeah it is NIS I can see a Vita port later down the road. I might get this anyway for my PS3 anyway.

        • Haha, yeah. I personally loved ZHP too, even though it took me a while to understand the game well enough to beat it– I had gotten stuck at some point in it and stopped playing for a while, but my second run-through was smooth. I’m hoping Guided Fate Paradox is a great experience as well.

No surprise there. Day 1 for me

Same here, copping dat limited edition. My wallet is ready (for the time being, D2 might kill that though).

  • Is this going to apply to all retailers? I sure hope so. I have a copy of this pre-ordered on Amazon right now, so.

    • DesmaX

Yeah, it doesn’t show as NISA store exclusive at their website. Play-Asia is selling with them

      • Awesome, hoping for the best then. NIS tends to be pretty great about their BGM.

They called Yosei Teikoku for this soundtrack.

One of their best, I’d say

    • More than likely, it was years ago but, I got Phantom Brave, the PS2 version, 2 months after launch and still got the OST. Kinda like how SMT games, heck Atlus published games in general lately (King of Fighters 13 for example.) are, half the time you can still get the OST with the game later as well.

Hmm already have GE2 preordered and now have to decide between this or exstetra for november.

I wonder if the contents of the vocal album will be included. Licensing that would probably be pretty expensive.

Great album btw. Every Yousei Teikoku fan should have it.

Agree. Love the tracks in it.
