Namco Bandai’s upcoming multiplayer action game, One Piece Unlimited World: Red, recently got a new trailer, along with a look at some spiffy-looking 3DS XL Bundles that will be available when the game launches this November. This week, 4Gamer gives us a look at some skills Luffy and friends will be dishing out on their adventures..

One Piece Unlimited World: Red will feature all nine Straw Hat pirates as playable characters, all in their forms after the two-year time skip. You can check out our earlier report for play-style details on the said characters.

Here’s a look at the Straw Hat pirates who’ll be part of the adventure:

Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Sanji

Tony Tony Chopper, Usopp, and Nami

Nico Robin, Franky, and Brook

In One Piece Unlimited World: Red, you’ll get to play with up to four player who can, fight and play cooperative together, similar to Monster Hunter and its ilk. Luffy and the others will be going wild with plenty of abilities they’ve shown in the New World, such as the “Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk” and more.

The new Dragon-type monsters that appeared in the Punk Hazard arc will also be appearing as tough enemies in the upcoming game. Cooperation will be key to taking these big dragons down, so teaming up with your buddies will come in handy for the fight.

The characters all have their own unique abilities. Usopp’s sniping skills will allow him to attack from long range.

Franky will be using his gadgets, such as the powerful cannon shown above.

While Chopper will be the group’s healer, putting his skills in medicine to use.

Depending on who you have in the party, the play-style will vary, but each and every character will have their own ways of contributing to the fight.

Similar to the Monster Hunter series, you’ll get to go fishing and hunting for bugs. By gathering more material, you’ll be able to use them to create weapons, compound medicine, and cook food.

First-print copies of the game will include a download code for Luffy’s costume from One Piece Film: Strong World, along with an additional quest featuring Portgas D. Ace as a playable character. The additional quest will be a game-original mission that takes place at Marineford, which can be played with up to two players.

One Piece Unlimited World: Red sets sail on November 21st for Nintendo 3DS.

Man I hope they release this on the Vita so I can import it, it looks amazing graphically especially for the 3DS.

  • This game looks incredible… I’m praying for at least a EU release, that way I could justify just buying a European 3DS for all the One Piece games we’ll never get in the states.

  • TheExile285

Why did I click this link? I know I’m never gonna be able to play this -_-

  • Surgeon of Death

Damn it!! I’m throwing my money at the screen as hard as I can but nothings happening! I knew I should have gotten a currency converter pre-installed.

  • Shady Shariest

Wow, this style really seems to capture all the insanity One Piece includes *Not BadBama*

  • Eder García

cant believe this game will skip NA release… i guess its time to save money for a Japanese 3DS

  • ninjabart122

I still blame 4kids for ruining the image of One Piece in the US, which kind of made it less popular than it could’ve.

    • Spirit Macardi

It’s making a return though. Neon Alley has been playing it starting from the first episode, and Toonami has picked up the newest episodes.

Plus Funimation streams all the latest episodes from Japan, and they’ve been releasing brand new DVD sets with surprising speed!

      • British_Otaku

Yeah, even if One Piece had a rocky start for the English fanbase, so did Dragon Ball and both have over 40 volumes translated and hundreds of episodes avaliable on DVD right now in North America, Australia and the UK.

Things are looking up, probably by the middle of this generation, every region will be getting nearly every One Piece game physically and digitally unless Sony’s thing against subs only gets in the way.

  • darkfox1

They knew were they were doing making the game like this.

  • Prinny Dood

this is definitely coming to europe north america heck no >:(

  • British_Otaku

I hope they release a demo for this.
Ganbarion haven’t made a single game yet which I didn’t want to immediately order, but just to be sure… >_>

I hope they will put the first run DLC up for download soon enough too.

  • Lifestreamer

Why strong world? Why not film Z costumes? Even yet, love this costume.

It’s funny how Ace sells anything One Piece related, I really want to play as him, please Namco, give us an EU localization.
