Gaijinworks Thinking About Class Of Heroes 3, Digital + Physical If There Is Support

By Spencer . August 25, 2013 . 11:17pm

Class of Heroes 2 finally came out on PlayStation Network and physical copies are on their way with a “certificate of perspicacity.” The UMD includes the opening song, which was the reason why Class of Heroes 2 was delayed.

What’s next for Gaijinworks? Class of Heroes 3, if there is enough interest. Over Twitter, Vic Ireland said, "Plan is to offer the same type physical + digital presale for [Class of Heroes 3], long as the interest [and] support is there. But I may improve it."

Class of Heroes 3 was released for PSP and PlayStation 3 back in 2010. Anyone up for another Wizardry themed dungeon crawler?

Well, seeing as the majority of these types of games are on pc, I am always game for more. They make great vacation games, or just when you want a technically hard game. Just like CoH 2 I will do the physical bundle, and borrow a friend’s Vita to play the digital version that comes with it.

  • School Idol Addict

I wish they would localize Class of heroes: Chrono Academy, it’s the only class of heroes that look interesting to me.

    • Warboss Aohd

i agree, but support for dis might be support fer dat.

      • Draparde

Indeed, i remember hearing him say that they wanted to localize it, but also wanted to get through the rest of the series first.

  • Lionxie

Just to be one has the physical copy of CoH 2 yet right? Because i ordered mine and don’t have it yet.

    • dannybun

      Never got my… three… copies.

      • r0gamer940

go on their website. they have updates

    • Testsubject909

They had printing issues I believe. They’re working on it.

  • Rogerrmark

Is the second game better than the last Etrian Odyssey games?
Played the first Class of Heroes, but it wasn’t for me(love EO,though)

    • No, it isn’t. They’re actually quite difference, but there is a level of quality in the EO games (especially IV) that CoH2 doesn’t have – almost EO has a lack of flaws, while CoH2 has some.

      • Rogerrmark

        Thanks.That’s pretty sad ):
I might try the second(or even third)one day,if my backlog starts to get empty.

      • Testsubject909

EO is not a flawless game nor a perfect game. There isn’t a single game that exists without any flaws of any sort.

Just saying. Your opinion is rather one sided.

        • Didn’t mean to say that EO was perfect, just that it has a large lack of flaws that CoH2 has. Like EO does some things right that CoH2 does wrong, or just not as well. Sorry if I came off sounding bigoted or something.

          • Testsubject909

            It’s okay.

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

I downloaded Class of Heroes 2 on Vita, it was better than the first one and I hope the third one comes out over here too.

  • Testsubject909

I’d be willing. Just tighten up the translation a bit, there were some errors that actually got in the way. Not in the way of the story, but in the way of the gameplay (I forget if it was the description of a skill or something else).

Additionally I hear that Class of Heroes 3 drops the class limits for races, if that’s true, then I most definitely want Class of Heroes 3.

  • equalequation

I liked Class Final the most among these. Fun system, passable enough story and interesting dungeons. Even though some were clearly made by people with a map and no sense of game balance whatsoever, they were AGGRAVATING.

  • I bought Class of Heroes 2 and it was… a bit too hardcore for me. Wasn’t quite expecting to get chucked in at the deep end as much as I was and I was expecting a slight bit more story (although possibly that picks up).

Personally I’d like Gaijin works to diversify and pick up something like that Criminal Girls remake or that Curry RPG.

    • MXC

Curry RPG Already coming over dood. I know this is late but still thought I’d let you know.

  • Spirit Macardi

If they localize the third game, they should go for the 3DS version. Much more of a potential audience available, plus better graphics than the PSP one.

    • davidvinc

I thought it was just released for the PSP and the PS3

  • Just remembered I had this loaded on PSP already – and that I’m supposed to get the UMD soon, so that’s something to look forward to!
I’m always interested in what Ireland is up to. I bought Miami Law knowing he had something to do with it, and it was a decent game. I know he has a list of games he’s interested in (that would actually be profitable!), I just wish he lands on one that will really wow the public. (coughimascoung)

I would gladly support them and buy this and further PSP titles, if we could actually get the second one here in Europe on PSN… we never even got the first one. I have waited for this game to arrive on EU PSN ever since it got released in US.
