By Spencer . August 27, 2013 . 11:27pm

imageOriginally released for Wii, Square Enix is bringing Dragon Quest X to PC on September 26. If you’re on the fence about a massively multiplayer online take of Dragon Quest you can download a demo of the game before it launches on PC.

Players will be able to try Dragon Quest X starting on September 12 all the way to the game’s release on September 25. Before you get into the game you might want to test if your PC can handle all the slimes, drackys, and ogres in the Dragon Quest X. You can download the benchmark program here.

More Dragon Quest news not for the West…

I sincerely hope Square Enix’s USA office would be savvy enough to milk on Akira Toriyama’s manga works, should it decide to localize it for the US market.

The fact their USA office is in L.A. is advantageous to them; it has more than enough options to have not any server issues to them. Verizon FiOS AND uncapped Time Warner Cable? Yes please.

Are you insinuating TWC became slightly less evil? Or is that only in certain markets?

      • Just Tim

The only reason why I said about TWC as such was because they learned the hard way about handling the West Coast’s biggest market, which is Los Angeles. As hard to believe as it sounds, Laker fans RAGED at TWC.

Besides, had Comcast stayed in L.A., not trade it off to TWC and then implement data caps, the sheer population of L.A. ALONE will crucify Comcast and outright insult Philadelphia, PA, as “FAILadelphia”, because of it.

If this came out in America, too many people would try to play it for the servers to handle just like Final Fantasy 14.

That’s a silly justification to not bring it to the US.

Haha I don’t think Dragon Quest has quite as big of a fan following in the West as Final Fantasy does. If they can handle all of the Japanese DQ fans (about 99.9% of their population, give or take) I think the servers would be just fine.

        It should.:<

I read they might change up the combat system. That would be pretty great. It is what has kept me from liking pretty much every other game in the series, haha.

Until SE releases more DQ to the West, they will not recieve a single penny from me.

I am still waiting for this game to come out in the west, along with several other Dragon Quest titles Square Enix really is loosing out I would have gladly purchased several of these games if they were available. Plus i stream my video games so there loosing free advertising for it as well. I tried contacting them about these games it didn’t get anywhere.
