By Spencer . August 27, 2013 . 12:18am

imageAquaplus made a ToHeart 2 spinoff that brought the girls from the dating sim into a dungeon RPG. ToHeart 2: Dungeon Travelers was released for PSP back in 2011 and a sequel, Dungeon Travelers 2, came out in March.

Dengeki PlayStation says Aquaplus is working on a PlayStation Vita remake of ToHeart 2: Dungeon Travelers which is scheduled for release in 2013. This game joins Danganronpa 1+2 Reload and Criminal Girls Invitation on the growing list of PSP to Vita remakes.

Interesting. Maybe this has a chance of coming West if WaterPizza does well.

    • Milla

sadly no it won’t.. since its a VN with a rather crappy dungeon mechanic but you know nisa likes to bring things over like tokitowa with crappy gameplay.

      • Milla

ohoho dem dislikers who don’t say what they dislike

        • I haven’t disliked anything, but I’m curious as to what you particularly found crappy about the dungeon crawler gameplay. I like dungeon crawlers and had my interest piqued by the above comment from FitzpatrickPhillips about how good the balance was, so I’d like to hear the other side, too. :)

well there are some things and one of them is there is only 1 ending… its been awhile since i played it so i might have sounded biased

          • Thanks!

What does that have to do with the game mechanics though?

          • I’ll try to counter the complaints, but I don’t really care if Milla thinks it’s bad or that I’m wrong. Merely my two cents on the issue:

-It’s not “a VN with a rather crappy dungeon mechanic”…the story takes a gigantic back seat. It’s a pure dungeon crawler, maybe as much backstory as like, Legasista.

-“there is only 1 ending” is a bad thing? I guess we shouldn’t watch any movies, finished TV shows, or the vaaaast majority of video games. Besides, dungeon crawlers REALLY start after the credits roll. Post-game/additional dungeons are the best!

Won’t we need the main titles first since this is a spinoff?

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Ooh very nice. Didnt see this coming.
Surprisingly, it was a pretty high quality game. I don’t think I’ve seen another dungeon crawler with such well done classes and balance.

And was sexy as FUCK too.

OK, time to pester Arksys & XSEED

    • I agree. Very well balanced, great map designs, and a good challenge. I was incredibly surprised by how competent it was.

      And yes, quite sexy.

Don’t try to steal too many of mai waifus please.

  • This would be nice to have with Aquapazza localized.

  • Nerroth

I wonder if that means they will eventually be re-working the sequel, too?

(Well, I say sequel, but it looks like it’s got a different cast of characters.)

  • Aristides

    I demand localization!

  • Hopefully it gets the Danganronpa treatment! :D

  • artemisthemp

That’s fine and all, but will the West see this remake?

  • Testsubject909

    Well… At worst importing.

  • brian

Does it actually remake or add anything opposed to just being a port?

    • It’s most likely a remake. Since a PSP title can be made to play on the Vita now.

  • Warboss Aohd

    meh, i dislike First person.

    • Bigabu Beaze

Sweet honey bee of infinity! Wheres da accent mon?

      • Warboss Aohd

Wot are ya talkin’ about Humie?
