Meet Your New Demon Friends in Devils and Realist For 3DS

By Sunjun . September 2, 2013 . 3:01pm

Namco Bandai has revealed a trailer for Devils and Realist: Treasure of the Deputy King, their Nintendo 3DS game based on a popular anime/manga series. Along with the main characters of the anime, the game features an original storyline and two new characters: the Egyptian transfer student Rashild and the mysterious young man Heydar.

Like a traditional visual novel, the game has decision-making points that allow you to bond with your demon friends or follow your own greedy agenda. At any time in the game, you can open a chart to check all of the routes and branching storylines you have seen.

The limited edition package includes a drama CD, an art booklet containing interviews with the cast members, and a tin case illustrated by the original manga artist Utako Yukihiro. Devils and Realist: Treasure of the Deputy King will be released on September 26 for the Nintendo 3DS.

OMG its Narrated by William Twining and Dantalion, my otp. Isaac, and Kevin, Sytry too!!! I hope it has the characters singing too, ed song or op at least.

    But that drama cd!!!! Need.

If people don’t upload the contents of the Drama CD quickly enough, you can expect some resellers to be selling the Drama CD separately recognising some people want one part of a package that much.

I love the title of this game, not to mention its gameplay and art style. Come on over to the west!

  • *Tears* I want it!

  • klkAlexar

Too bad that the chances of this coming to NA are slim because this is bl-ish enough to interest me and I doubt the 3ds gets bl titles.

    • AnimusVox

      ‘bl’? ‘boy love’?

          Ah I see, thanks.

      • XYZ_JolteonZ980

        Best genre ever.

    • DyLaN

The manga/anime is categorized as shoujo genre but we knows wht genre it actually is ;P

      • Euphoria

Well, yaoi is, generally speaking, for girls, so shoujo is the correct category.

        • Jennrin

But Makai Ouji is not yaoi. It is shoujo, but hints at homoeroticism to tantalize the fanbase.

Probably not in the near future, but who knows? Aksys is starting to form an Otome branch. They’ve published three Hakuoki games and recently Sweet Fuse/Bakudan Hangan so far, with plans to continue publishing more Otome/Shoujo titles! And SEGA brought over Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F to the West for the first time! More niche games/genres are getting brought to the West, and if they continue to sell well enough and there is enough demand; BL and BL-ish games could start making appearances. I’ll honestly be a very excited gamer if that happens! :)

      • klkAlexar

There has been bl games published in NA but they haven’t been very successful. BL games are even more niche than het otome games, so I don’t really expect anything.

    • XYZ_JolteonZ980

If we could get bd release of the anime here, but at least were getting the manga, kudos to seven seas.

  • Meily

I’ve just recently gotten hooked on the anime (what’s with the recent influx of BL-ish anime?!) so I’m kind of thinking of importing this… Anyone got a link where I can buy a copy? The Limited Edition sounds sweet!
