Sony Showcasing Deep Down, Dark Souls II, And J-Stars Victory Versus At TGS

By Spencer . September 3, 2013 . 3:55am

image PlayStation 4 will be playable in Japan for the first time during Tokyo Game Show. Sony’s next console does not have a release date in Asia, which explains why the PS4 lineup is mostly filled with Western titles aside from Capcom’s deep down.

Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, J-Stars Victory Versus, BlazBlue Chronophantasma, Sengoku Basara 4, and Dark Souls II are some of the highlights in the PlayStation 3 section. New Atelier Rorona, God Eater 2, and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash will be in the Vita section. PlayStation Mobile titles will be announced in the future. Here’s the list so far:

There is something fishy, when PS4 in West has established release date and Asia don’t have that.
    Sony is experimenting? :D
Also, i thought, that we would see Final Fantasy XV. And…
Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends! Not Extreme %)

    • Anime10121

Its nothing fishy, just shifting priorities. Considering console gaming is on the downturn in Japan, with even the PS3 throughout the entire generation not even reaching 10 million while every where else, its doing nearly 3 times as good, it only makes sense.

Also, about FFXV, now that it’s been re-announced, it’ll DEFINITELY be there, though it wouldnt be at Sony’s booth anyway since its not the priority right now, LR is. However, it’ll be at Squeenix’s booth, with more than likely a playable demonstration by the staff.

Not werid, E3=NA event, Gamescon=EU event, TGS=Japan event and Sony home turf. Seems to make sense they announce their release details there with no need for translations and what not.

  • Arizato

Anyone think that ATLUS/Arc System Works will announce Persona 4 Arena Climax for console on TGS?

    • Gyro Zeppeli

Before it’s even out in arcades? No way.

  • anarchy_panty

    …where’s Gravity Rush 2? ;_;

    • Anime10121

Not gonna be listed before the show, very rarely are new game announcements made before the event.

Bloody Roar rumor? The first time I heard of this and I am pretty excited for this.

    • Juan Andrés Valencia

What Bloody Roar rumor? I’m curious since I love the series and next gen consoles could definetely take advantage with a game like Bloody Roar (Like PhysX enhanced fur :D )

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Well, with SCEJ having a press conference the week before TGS, I’m expecting some new things announced there and the brought up again at TGS (albeit in video form, at best).

I’m really looking forward to TGS this year!!

  • EX+

J stars? Cool. I really wanna see Tsuna and Hibari VS Naruto and Sasuke.

    • RichyGaming

Katekyo Hitman Reborn isn’t confirmed yet.

      • EX+

I know. I just want it. It’d be so badass.

        • RichyGaming

          Yeah, me too lol

I did not notice before. There are no Japanese style games being released. It’s a very western favorable release. Just like the Vita. But that did not work well before. We’ll see.

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

Sony’s not even launching in Japan this year…

      • Testsubject909

It may or may not be waiting to get more home friendly games for it.

Who knows, we might hear more during TGS.

  • Kevadu

Hey, Knack is technically a Japanese game (Japan Studio are the ones making it)!
