Monster Hunter 4 Shipping Over One Million Copies Day One

In his fourth update on pre-order sales for Monster Hunter 4, game shop owner Sinobi has estimated that Capcom’s upcoming Nintendo 3DS game has already surpassed the one million mark.

 

He noted that the initial shipment will be about 600,000 units, with further concurrent shipments of between 200,000 to 300,000 units. Including his rough estimates of e-Capcom’s own sales,  Sinobi feels the game’s launch shipment will be somewhere between 1 to 1.5 million units ready to go.

 

For reference, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd sold 1.9 million copies in its launch week. Capcom hope to sell 2.8 million copies of Monster Hunter 4 by March 31st, 2014.

 

Monster Hunter 4 will launch on September 14 in Japan.
