Sony…dat price O.O You gotta bring that price waaaaaaayyyyy down Sony

    • mads

      im with you! :P

  • SuBw00FeR

$105 isn’t too bad considering the 32gb’s were around that price (At least for Australia they were) I’ll be buying one when I get the chance. :)

  • Cero55

to rich for my blood but at least sony finally brought the 64gb out.

  • FetusZero

If anything you should of made the Vita compatible with regular micro SD cards.. would be 50% cheaper for us -_-

    • Trying to avoid the piracy-ridden PSP fiasco with the Vita.

      • FetusZero

I’m all up for preventing piracy, always have and hopefully always will be, but it annoys me the way it ends up making us pay more than we should.

        • I agree with you. Since Sony has (e)limi(na)ted our choice of memory cards to a proprietary one, they should be more reasonably priced to help pull in more customers and make the digital embrace a more friendly one, too.

          • Alexander Marquis Starkey

Depends on how much it costs sony to make these things. They are essentially new hardware Sony had to make just for the Vita.

      • PreyMantis

It’s no excuse when the 3DS uses micro sd cards and still hasn’t been fully hacked, yet.

        • tubers

          “Fully”.. Seems they’re getting there.

BUT, it could be that there’s just more interested hackers on the 3DS than having a non proprietary memory compatibility.

          We will never certainly know.

    • And then you realize that Sony’s always been proprietary with their memory. Not just in consoles, either. Anything Sony-branded in this era relies on some sort of proprietary memory. Sony cameras relied on Memory Sticks just as the PSP did.

It isn’t a matter of piracy; it’s a decision Sony made for their entire line of products. Not just the Vita or PSP.

      • LouisianaBob

The memory stick duo for psp was simply a different format and as such
you could buy a third party adapter sleeve. Mine was ~$8 and let me use
micro sd cards in my psp. The vita, however, has some kind of
battery/software on the memory cards themselves, like the 3ds
cartridges, that is creating a hurdle for just making an adapter.

    Nice! What’s the pri—
*sees $105 equating to roughly £67*
    SERIOUSLY SONY! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

    • Testsubject909

      So many tables being flipped…

    • Luke

Unfortunately this actually their best priced memory card(on a GB to $ scale). Compare to the 32GB which is half the storage but only $20 less.

      • Alexander Marquis Starkey

It will probably cost less in america…not much less, but a more balanced $99.99.

  • アティ

    …… O_O 65 gb……. are a bit late….. T_T

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

So expensive.T_T With that amount of money, in my country i am more or less going to be able to feed myself for a month.O_o

  • TheExile285

Guess when I get a 64GB for my Vita, I can use my current 32GB for a Vita TV when I get one.

    • Testsubject909

I’m still using the 4GB memory card I got from the start.

      • TheExile285

        8GB are $20 now bro…

  • mixedfish

    So it’ll be $80 then.

  • Testsubject909

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

    Bout damn time.

  • leingod

Ouch. Sad thing is, I’ll probably get one… 32Gb just ain’t enough.

    • ShadowDivz

Really? I was thinking of just getting myself an 8gb.

      • leingod

Well I have PS1, PSP and Vita games tied to my PSN account, so I run out of space pretty fast :/

  • MrRobbyM

Vita, I want to love you but those memory card prices man…

  • That price is a little much.

  • Shane Guidaboni

I could buy that Vita TV for this price.

I have a 32GB memory card in my PS Vita currently. Would there be a way for me to transfer the content in my existing card over to a new one?

    • Jake Joe

If you have a PC then you can back it up with Content Manager Assistan from there once you connect to your Vita just click the Vita to PC and then upload/back up your data. Same if you have a PS3. if not then just re-download everything again from the PSN

  • About time. Been waiting for them to announce a 64GB card for basically forever.

  • zer0ne

    Better give us a 128Gb memory card…

  • SlickRoach

Seeing as how the biggest games are usually 3-3.5 GB I’m not sure if I can even fill this thing but I’ll probably wait for a price drop or deal somewhere and pick it up in the future. Better to have too much memory than too little.

  • British_Otaku

I was a little distracted but I read the title as “PlayStation Vita 64 GB Coming In October, Costs $105” at first… >_> It costs over a $100 for Japan to get 64 GB of storage for a Vita, I don’t want to think about European prices or importing one of these (the jack up would be huge, regardless of how cheap and simple shipping small items would be).

  • Jesse Torres

    How much will it cost?

  • $61526767

*Browse through news* Oh cool! A new memory card is being released! :D
*Looks through article and looks at price*

    MOTHERFU-! (my real reaction)

  • Zonron

thank you sony, its all i have been asking for since i bought my 32 gb card at launch. will trade memory card for this updated one, real question is, will i have the ability to have more then a 100 bubbles? i have like 18 gb in psp games alone.

  • .:Raphællius:.

    Price cut vita is $199.99…
if you purchase this memory card you will pay $299,99
is this a coincidence or was it all planned? price cut my ass

  • AuraGuyChris

I can buy like two hard drives with much more memory than that piece of hard paper.
