Spike Chunsoft unveiled Total Despair Girls Danganronpa: Another Episode at the PlayStation press conference earlier this week and unlike the other Danganronpa titles it’s something like a third person shooter with Monobear clones. The footage shows commands like "move," "dance," and "break."

Dengeki PlayStation says Danganronpa: Another Episode’s story takes place between Danganronpa 1 and 2. NIS America will release Trigger Happy Havoc: Danganronpa in North America in early 2014.

Still think third person shooter and Danganronpa don’t go well together…

    • supervamp

      You don’t understand the theme

      • Kevin Schwarz

No, I do. But Danganronpa don’t go well with actual shooter mechanics for a single reason: enemies. You don’t want to shoot an army of monobears for eight to ten hours, do you? Besides, I don’t think there will be much variety in scenarios either.

        • supervamp

You say that without actually knowing how its going to be handled all you know is that you have to fight your way through a bunch of monkuma bears, there could be more enemies and there is probably a reason considering its between 1 and 2.

Its a SPINOFF and there ady a bunch of shooting and crazy stuff in DR anyway.

      • Kevin Schwarz

But Danganronpa is about the mystery overall…shooters tend to screw all over mystery.

        • DyLaN

          That why I said spinoff.

And let not count the chicken be4 it hatch.

  • DyLaN

So its actually canon? Now I’m even more interested abt the plot.

Hopefully they will localize Dangan 1 and 2 ASAP.
    Loved the first game.

    Also, DAT Dangan3 teaser.

    • TheExile285

I would buy the Vita version of the first game if i were you.

If people don’t buy the first, NISA won’t localize the second game and this one.

      • Luis Camargo

I will buy from PSN as soon as it launches. I am also pestering everyone I know with a Vita to buy the game when it releases.

I am also thinking about importing Reload 1+2 next month, but I do not know if my japanese will be enough to play Super Danganronpa 2.

        • TheExile285

Lol, I wish my Japanese was good enough to play a Japanese game in general. I wanna import Type-0 & .hack//link on PSP >_>

          • Luis Camargo

I seriously considerer importing Type-0, but with all the rumors about an US version I ended up never buying the game.

I use a program called wakan and the DS to help me with some japaneses games (I usually play games which are too complex for my japanese skills)

Right now I am playing Valkyria Chronicles 3. Amazing game.

          • TheExile285

wakan and DS huh? I’ll look those up when i get off work

          • Luis Camargo

Yeah, I use both everytime I play a japanese games. Makes the game go much slower, but it is a lot of help to translate it.

If you need any help send me a message.

  • Learii

I hope NIS bring this one too <3

  • Aristides

    Localization! lol
