Namco Bandai will release Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost on PlayStation 3 next year. Originally released for arcades, Full Boost has over 90 mobile suits from 28 Gundam series. Arcade mode has online cooperative play and you can fight in 2 on 2 battles.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost will be playable at Tokyo Game Show at Sony’s booth and at Namco Bandai’s booth.

The game is slated for release in 2014 as a standalone game and a part of a limited edition. The Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost Premium G Sound Edition includes a Gundam sound function with 35 songs including original Gundam themes to choose from.

Considering the last one had fully customizable BGM (except during online play), I wonder if they’ll be removing the feature to push the Premium Sound edition. I hope not.

I don’t know why I am always so drawn to this series. I don’t like robots; I hate Gundam, and I find these games strangely paced. Yet, somehow, I remain oddly enamored with them.
