Final Fantasy Tactics track… oh yeah

  • Mental

Maybe FFXV if the game comes out around or before then, but I wouldn’t be too confident about that.
Then again, they could always shoehorn it into the game via DLC.

    • IvanAzure

Actually the original Theatrhythm had XV’s main theme, Somnus, as DLC IIRC.

      • Mental

I know that, but they didn’t list XV here. Maybe they don’t want to spoil the soundtrack, I guess?

        • Chaos_Knight

Or they could of at least put 1 song from XV as a preview to the soundtrack.

          • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

Yeah I was in Japan before FFXII came out in 2006. I bought the OST from WonderGoo and enjoyed the OST a lot. When I finally got to play the game it made the experience a very different one since I was already attached to the music even though I had no idea where any of it was in the game. Something I would like to try for XV and see if it again changes the experience for me.

        • IvanAzure

Well, the article said “Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call packs all 90 songs from Theatrhythm Final Fantasy” so I understood it included Somnus. We’ll have to wait for more info, I guess.

    CRISIS CORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRICE FOR FREEDOM MUST BE IN!!!!!!!!!!!

Err, sorry. I really like that song.

  • Barrylocke89

Mystic Quest is probably the biggest surprise honestly. There were a few good songs in that one too. I imagine the boss theme will be in there. Probably the battle theme too.

    • KR-Joker

There’s a lot more to Mystic Quest than just those battle songs, highly underrated soundtrack, hopefully we get some Lava Dome, or Alive Forest in there as well as those rocking battle themes.

      • Time Sage

        Tristem’s theme!

  • AlteisenX

I think I would be more interested if they branched out into Dragon Quest or some other IPs.

    Holy shit, Mystic Quest?

(And yet no Tactics Advance or 4 Warriors of Light… nuts.)

  • Natat

FFT music… Backfire, Battle on the Bridge, Trisection please…!

    • Jibun Rest@rt

Antipyretic was in the iOS release, so I’d expect to see that one. Personally, I’d like to see Ramza’s theme as field music.

  • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

Why no Noctis? I was hoping for the main theme of FFXV from the trailers at least since it’s so badass!

    • Arcana Wiz

i can see him being a unlockable/dlc character….. but i think it’s too early to put XV music in another game, that even might be realeased before it.

      • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

The song came out in 2007, seems old enough for me, lol!

        • komiko12

Maybe Somnus will be released as DLC just like in the first game. About Noctis being playable, I would like him to be playable first in his own game.

  • Arcana Wiz

Looks neat. hopes for interesting characters.

  • Heropon

What about Music from tactic Advance 1 and 2 or Final Fantasy 4 heroes of light.

    • Ethan_Twain

I’m not sure the Tactics Advance games really warrant the attention. Tactics Advance 2 cribbed all it’s best music from FF XII, and Tactics Advance 1 had a pretty unfortunately limited number of tracks.

Tactics Advance 2 DID have a really nice piano bit that played during naming your character though. It’s a weird piece that’s stuck with me – it promised a game better than what Tactics Advance 2 ended up being :( I’m not sure that’s an appropriate pick for a music game though.

FF 4 Heroes of Light definitely deserves a spot. Very cool stuff mixing chiptune melody lines with modern synth accompaniment.

      • Heropon

Tactic advance have 32 track and 11 of them have the remix piano version in the white melody album. Main theme of the game , some battle theme such as painful battle, the crystal theme , chocobo farm are awesome track that should be add to the list.

  • Rogerrmark

    No love for Dimensions ):

  • ImminentBread

Songs from the Dissidia games, eh? It’s probably the original compositions like “Cosmos” and “God in Fire”, but it’d be amazing if we also got the various Dissidia remixes of the main titles’ battle and field themes alongside the originals.

  • Daniel Gulyas

No Crystal Chronicles though… say what you will about the series, the music is amazing…

    • neo_firenze

Heck yeah, Kumi Tanioka’s music might just be the best part of the CC series.

      • Daniel Gulyas

Seriously. Is it possible to dislike Moonless Starry Night or Sound of the Wind?

And that’s just the OP and ED.

        • Kalis Konig

Heck yeah. Honestly the series itself is great as long as you have buddies to play with. The BGM in the first game especially was top notch. River Belle Path would make a perfect field stage bgm. The only song from the series to make it in this game was Sound of Wind which was a IOS exclusive unfortunately

  • keriaku

Only thing it’s missing is XIII-2…

    • Kalis Konig

Last Traveler and it’s variations please!!

  • DrakeClawfang

Even I concede, while the rest of the game was awful, Mystic Quest had some awesome music. I hope Doom Castle and the final boss theme are in.

  • AndyLC

FFXIV has really nice music. Though I wonder which characters will represent XIV?

    • komiko12

Yshtola was confirmed just by looking at the logo.

      • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

        I hope Minfilia and a generic Miqo’te.

        • komiko12

I was thinking that Boxart dude would also be a nice option.

  • mewcus

tbh, after playing kingdom hearts, the ff songs all sounds similar to me.
that being said, hopefully i get traverse town in this!

  • pure_white

‘The Price of Freedom’, ‘The Fires of Suzaku’, ‘The Promised Land’, ‘Theme of Ramza’, ‘Trisection’, ‘What Become of Us’, ‘The Time of Finis’, ‘Caius’ Theme’…

I skipped the first Theatrhythm, but I think that I’ll buy thius one.
    I MEAN, ALL THESE FEELS. ;___;

  • Savage Sui ♥

    >Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
    >Dissidia/ Dissidia 012
Yes, yes, yeeeees~! (^o^)/ Love the games, love the OST’s~ can’t wait to see what they put in for ‘em. Dat chibi Zack Fair is adorable :3

It’s a little weird that XIII-2 isn’t on this list while Lightning Returns is… .w.” lol.

  • wahyudil

when when when ??? my body is ready … here take my money

  • Kalis Konig

Nice. Any word if the DLC from the first game transfers to Curtain Call?

  • Kalis Konig

The lack of Crystal Chronicles Music though makes me sad.
