Square Enix is preparing more content for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and one addition is the Crystal Tower. Final Fantasy III fans will remember this labyrinth which was the path to Eureka. Fittingly, Final Fantasy XIV has bosses from Final Fantasy III inhabiting the Crystal Tower. Watch out for the Cloud of Darkness!

Before the Crystal Tower rises, high level players will be able to dig into the destruction of Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 in the Binding Coil of Bahamut.

Housing is coming to Final Fantasy XIV too and after purchasing a place of your own you can decorate it with Cactaur lamps.

Wolves’ Den or "Wolves’ Jail" in Japanese is a player vs. player area in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Crystal Tower would just remind FF3 players of the rage when they die in that dungeon.

Even a well-traveled Moogle like me can’t forget the hardships that spiraling tower (of DOOM) has made me experience, kupo!

You hit the nail on the head. I’ve played FFIII DS twice and both times quit at the Tower. It’s excruciatingly long and tough, not to mention there’s like 3 boss battles back to back to back, and NO SAVE POINTS since the entrance.

Try the original Crystal Tower/Eureka. The DS version was way too easy.

    • Lifestreamer

Really? Loved that part, and loved Eureka (that theme!) even more.

It is great but you do know the consequence of dying somewhere in the middle, right? You start over from the entrance.

I love the art. Makes me excited to see how the boss battles in the tower will go.

with as many people that can join in on one run i imagine they’ll be lots of dead bodies the first few days after its released lol.

The sheer beauty of this games is just >.< i need to pick this up and throw my controller out the window afterwards!

    • Draparde

B…but you can’t play if you do that!

One of the best things about this game is the fact that each dungeon has it’s own set of Battle Themes! Hopefully, it will not be different with this one!

Aside from that, I’ve been waiting for Housing support, for as long as I can remember! And the PvP Arenas! The exploration to the bindings of Bahamuth is also interesting! Maybe there is some wibbly wobbly timey wimey… stuff involved. Might also explain the many crossovers, with some being canon.

I want to play this game even more now.

    I can see it now. 1hr into the dungeon. World of Darkness. The 24 of you rush straight to Cloud of Darkness. PARTICLE BEAM! 9999 to everyone. ;-;

This is so beautiful, I really love this game there’s so much to do and great updates ^-^ Cn’t wait to rage at the crystal tower

  • Ben Sylvia

Oh that’s cool. Hope it comes with remixed battle themes from III.

And maybe they’ll add an area from IV with the 4 Archfiends.

    I want a cactuar lamp irl. :(
