Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd Shows Off Its List Of New Songs

By Eugene . September 24, 2013 . 1:56pm

We previously posted some of the songs in upcoming PlayStation 3 and Vita music rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd, but now there’s a new almost-12 minute long trailer showcasing both gameplay and music in action combined.

The trailer goes through all seven currently revealed tracks, starting with Dawn’s Arrival, Romeo & Juliet, Colorful Melody, This Is The Happiness And Peace Of Mind Committee, Spoofing Genga, A Thousand Year Solo and finishes off with Packaged.

As in the previous Project Diva games, players have to hit the right buttons in time with the music to score combos and rack up points to advance. Music types range from slower paced, easier pieces to fast and frantic ones for button mashers and keen hand-eye coordinated players.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd is currently planned for a spring 2014 release in Japan.

    So where’s the list?

    • Freakmasta

Someone forgot to code it in.

      • Landale

Oh good, it’s not just me then. Was going nuts trying to figure out what needed to be unblocked to get it to show. >_>

I will probably import this for the Vita. I also really want Sega to step up the localization for this second one and include the lyrics tranlated in english instead of just romanize everything.

I understood the lyrics just fine with Romaji but I feel your pain. I feel that was a bit of a miss on their part.

The lyrics for some songs are actually great (such as Time Machine) and this could have gone a long way to popularize the game with people who do not know anything about vocaloids.

I had to search a YT channels with the lyrics translated. Loved the lyrics for Kagamine HachiHachi Flower Battle, Yumekui Shirokuro Baku, Senbonzakura among many others.

A big problem with this is that even some English translations of the song names caused some friction because they weren’t the names some fans were used to (Like The MMORPG Addict’s Anthem, or Urbandonment).
If some fans see completely different lyrics to what they are used to they won’t see them as correct translations, but state they are outright wrong, causing more arguments and complaints. Its the problem with their being so many translations on Youtube. :/

          • Luis Camargo

I did find it odd to see Torinocoshity translated as Urbandonment. Or to see Senbonzakura instead of Thosand Cherry Blossoms. Some songs translated other not.

I think Sega is capable enough of handling a translation of the lyrics and avoid this kind of problems (wrong translation of the lyrics).

But Sega needs to go all-in. A half-assed effort would not be acceptable.

          • Riku Lucifen

To be fair, I love the name Urbandonment more than Torinko City, prolly cause it carries the pun which is otherwise lost in english, but that’s just me~ xD
And Senbonzakura will always be Senbonzakura to me. Changes from person to person~ :3

I agree, and it would be good to have English subs (Make my life so much easier trying to sing along to Negaposi*Continues xD), but there will always be those over zealous fans who disagree with the translations. But I suppose they come in any fandom for anything. :/

  • I like the attention to expressions in Spoofing Genga. So glad to see Romeo and Cinderella back!

…The new analog stick motions are starting to scare me, though, since I’d relied on random flicks to get those points ><

That wasn’t Hop! Step! Instant Death! in the middle of the video was it? I didn’t see it mentioned on any tracklist and it sounds a little different.

Does F2 contain the songs from the first F as well? Or are all the songs new?

my only experience with hatsune miku is the US ps3 demo and l like the gameplay but the voice is too high and squeaky for my taste. i like the music otherwise though.
