By Spencer . September 24, 2013 . 12:53am

Namco Bandai has another Kuroko’s Basketball game in development and this game is all about the Miracles Team. Kuroko’s Basketball: Miraculous Victory has an original story with 3D character models on the top screen and controls on the touch screen.

Kuroko’s Basketball: Miraculous Victory is slated for release this winter for Nintendo 3DS.

I was like going to import this since it’s probably not coming to the West.. but then I realize my 3DS is region lock… seriously :(

The chibi characters running around is cute but it feels like gameplay is not that impressive.

I’m pretty worried too, the least they could do is show us that Kuroko can disappear from sight temporarily when he doesn’t have the ball and Midorima can shoot three points from anywhere but needs start up time and gets fatigued.

Everyone sort of blurs together with this and even the basketball mechanics seem less advanced than a DS game I had a lot of fun with, Mario Hoops 3 on 3 (or whatever the Mario Basketball game was called).

I hope they don’t just use the visuals and license to hide a meh game. >_>

I think its would be the fanservice sort of title. I remember the PSP game having hot springs. The cutesy models just increases my suspicions about the game’s aim.

I see. >_> I suppose there isn’t a problem with keeping a good amount of the fanbase happy, as long as the characters stay in character and nothing gets in the way of it being a functionally competent basketball game.

If it was a VN, I would shrug it off, here I expect the basketball to be good at representing the source material and basketball in general.

How were the hot springs presented out of curiousity? Lengthy VN sequences (blatant fanservice) or something as plain as you click on it in a menu to have your team relax and see them when they are out (basically could be swapped out for a bed in an RPG)?

    Eh… It’s still chibi… >_>
It isn’t an ugly look for the game, but I’ve been expecting on model characters unless there is good reason not to (Super Deformed spinoffs and parodies and games which maintain the style throughout the design including the talking heads of VN parts).

I would like to see the control be similar to Mario Basketball and hope to see the character’s distinct abilities in the next trailer or demo. It seems hollow here.
