What Is The Developer Of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Up To?

By Ishaan . September 30, 2013 . 2:05pm

h.a.n.d., the developer of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded appear to have made quite the name for themselves since their involvement in those two games. Since then, they’ve gone on to co-develop a number of other popular titles for a variety of publishers.

Here’s a look at some of their work since their Kingdom Hearts days:

(2011) Imaginary Range [iOS, Square Enix]

(2012) Girls RPG [3DS, Level 5]

(2012) The World Ends With You –Solo Remix- [iOS, Square Enix]

(2012) Fantasy Life [3DS, Level 5]

(2013) Toriko: Gourmega Battle [3DS, Namco Bandai]

(2013) Fantasy Life Link! [3DS, Level 5]

Not too shabby. Thankfully, h.a.n.d. appear to be doing fairly well for themselves, which is nice to see, considering that one of their earliest announced current-gen titles, Chocobo Racing 3D, may have been cancelled, seeing as how it hasn’t emerged 2010.

  • I still want Imaginary Range Episode III. :(

  • Don’t forget the last few Puyo games (7 and 20th), most likely working on Puyo x Tetris (I’d say the 3DS and Vita versions, they have no HD experience yet).

  • British_Otaku

So they were the guys that made the Toriko 3DS fighter which was somewhat similar to Superstars/Gigant Battle… >_> I got the feeling that it wasn’t Ganbarion. I wasn’t that impressed by the demo (maybe because it was a demo), but I wouldn’t mind seeing another shot in that field.

The rest of their line up isn’t too bad. See a Toriko game (mostly as the manga is pretty brutal) rated CERO A with a white stripe while Girls RPG (it could be darker or more explicit than I think, I guess) goes for the CERO C, Black Stripe is a little amusing. I know that Toriko is in the right place, just a little curious about Girls RPG.

  • Lord Búho

That’s a decent catalog, not to mention that Re: coded was one of the most fun games I ever played on the DS, The controls, the leveling system, the challenges, the variety… I didn’t even mind the non-existant story.

I’m glad they are doing well.

  • TheExile285

Well at least they haven’t completely moved to mobile like some other devs….

  • Lucius

Here is hoping for a TWEWY 2

    • neocatzon

Same here, but that should be directed to Jupiter (and SE, argh)

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

I call it The World Begins With Two.

      3DS/WiiU X-Play, with grafitti miiverse.

      • Ouch My Head Said Dionysus

The World Ends With You Too

    • Ric Vazquez

      Thumbs up for this

  • Mental

I hope they haven’t discontinued Imaginary Range. One of the few Android market games I enjoy.

  • Riseabovethesky

I want an other Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales. That game was awesome and so addictive!

    • komiko12

I really liked that one, especially the pop-up battles.

      • Riseabovethesky

I remember how I totally overkill the last boss with a Typhon card, an almost complete CP gauge of the right color and 2X damage. I was almost defeated before that because he blocked my last attack…

the Chocobo from the Chocobo Series is the most badass chocobo to live in the SE world

  • I had no idea they worked on Fantasy Life. I wish more websites clarified the developer from the publisher.

  • Ouch My Head Said Dionysus

Girls Life RPG, AKA the hostess simulator. What a message that one sends.

  • J_Joestar

picture makes me want to find someone to go out and eat ice cream with T_T
