Can’t really be surprised. If it’s free its for me!

  • fyi1191

It would be funny if that party revive item is a must buy to continue the story.
Like when a boss reaches 50% HP, will always use a instant party kill move.
No party revive item = Game Over, Thanks for Playing.

wasnt the psp version a version of the gba version which suppressed the sexy stuff? the x rated dream and sex proposal?

    • http://www.thejaystack.com/ Jon Stachewicz

That stuff was never in the actual game, DeJap added it as a joke

      • PotatoPower

there was also a scene in the japanese version where arche implies she had sex with an ex, which is why she didnt count as a “pure” girl to appear in front of the unicorn

      • Setsu Oh

thk u all for debunking that decadeold myth.

    • Ladius

The PSP FVE edition is an improved port of Phantasia’s PS1 edition, the “sexy stuff” was never there to begin with in the Japanese version since it was mostly made up by Phantasia’s Super Famicom fantranslators.

    • GH56734

She said in the Japanese game when she was sleeping (at least in the PS1 version, I remember it was a voiced line): “Cless.. Oh you.. stop..”
Aside from this tiny bit (which even calling it “sexy” is a stretch, depending on how you interpret it), there was absolutely nothing else like that in all versions. The changes were mostly to expand the story with new characters / dungeons / story arcs.

      • Setsu Oh

she never promised anyuthing to the elf village guard if he let her enter it?

  • Magnumsally

That really is not that impressive when you consider its free.

    • Phlo

It’s more impressive when you consider how many times this game has been re-released…

  • Alexander Aubert

    freemium?

    • Herok♞

Free game with paid mircotransactions if you desire them.

  • Ladius

I wonder how many of those 150k will actually end up giving some money to Namco through IAPs, though.

  • fairysun

I wonder if this version includes the infamous line from Arche.

    • GH56734

If it’s the PSP Full Voice release (there is the Nakkiri Dungeon release too), then I assume that yes, it is.
It was one of the few non-major lines in the PS1 version to have been deemed to deserve voice acting.

But a lot of dirty humour was added by DeJap. The second fan-translation of the PS1 version is the way to go.

I wish they’d translate these superior versions of ToP, as well as ToP: NDX…

  • Slayven19

Wait the game was free? Am not impressed and it should have had more than that considering.

  • Ric Vazquez

No surprise even if it’s free, IT’S A CLASSIC!!!

  • Shiro

God they need to bring this over like NOW
