Nintendo updated the Wii U Virtual Console list in Japan and Mega Man X2 is scheduled to come out on October 9. Mega Man X2 adds a hover cycle X can ride and you can find a secret Shoryuken attack while looking for Zero’s pieces. I hope this means Capcom will release Mega Man X3 on Virtual Console someday.

Mega Man III, the Game Boy version, will be available for 3DS Virtual Console on the same day. This game has bosses from Mega Man III (NES) and Mega Man IV mixed together in one game plus Punk, a new robot master.

Gradius for NES and Super Famicom Wars, a precursor to Advance Wars, come out on Virtual Console on October 2.

Nintendo has no idea how much I’d give to be able to play Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance games on my 3DS. No idea.

    • Chaos_Knight

Playing Street Fighter II on the 3DS would be awesome.

    • Göran Isacson

Agreed. I can only hope that one day they will allow us to download a Virtual Console title to all Nintendo formats, and not just restrict them as they do today… GRANTED, playing WiiU titles and Gamecube titles on the 3DS might be a bit too much what with converting the controls and whatnot, but I see no reason that SNES titles shouldn’t be available on both WiiU and N3DS.

  • Go2hell66

    too little too late capcom
its mighty no 9′s time to shine

    • Kaihedgie

      :|

      • Go2hell66

        wat

        • Kaihedgie

Must I ask you the same question I asked everyone else?

          • Go2hell66

as long as its not a stupid one

          • Kaihedgie

Why are you here? If it’s “Mighty No.9′s time to shine” then why did you post here?

          • M’iau M’iaut

Enough both of ya. Go to opposite corners. :P

          • samsneeze

Most likely because he isn’t restricted to only posting about Mighty No.9 on specific topics. It’s not like his original post was without merit or completely out of left field.

          • Kaihedgie

            Except they are.

The post indicates he no longer cares about Capcom or Mega Man, so he would literally have no reason to come here and comment on it

          • RichyGaming

Not true, he can comment about whatever he wants just because he can. It’s not illegal nor against the rules.
But if a Mod says no, then it’s no. It’s as simple as that. Go2hell66 likes Megaman. But because of MN9, he probably can’t help but think the way how he said what he said. Because Capcom hasn’t paid much attention to Megaman for a while now. So he could like both.

BUT you can easily ignore everything I just said and say he doesn’t need a reason to comment on a post, because he can just do it.

          • Kaihedgie

Please stop with that “freedom of speech” stuff. I hate it when people use it as it an excuse to be annoying as heck.

well i don’t know why they are riding off releasing old console titles on the Wii U.

They had a Chance, no one told them they shouldn’t release MML3
No one told them to piss off their legendary developers.
No one told them they could not release Dragons Dogma on PC and save the franchise.
No one told them they should just depend on old releases that has been emulated by folks in the PC world and trying to make a cheap buck out of it.

Mystara was a disappointment the pricks even copied the MAME version which they put effort in with the same problems (you couldn’t even preform the same 4 hit combo as in the arcade) Capcom has gone from bros to complete hoes.

            They are now called appcom.

          • Kaihedgie

And I also didn’t ask for you to miss the point entirely

    • Adinz

Megaman will always stay as nostalgia to fans no matter what.

    • AuraGuyChris

Alas, this is from the Capcom of the Past.
The Capcom of the Present sucks.

For those who missed this, it’ll be worth the pick.

    • RichyGaming

This newbie bought the Megaman X Collection not too long ago ;)

      • Lucky Dan

rather buy the megaman and Megaman X collection cheaper better and more compact >.>

        • RichyGaming

I’ve never heard of a collection with all Megaman and Megaman X games in one case.

          • GODDUKEMONEXA

            for PS2 is available

  • https://twitter.com/BinksFrost Binks5

ill always enjoy the megaman games anywhere anytime, especially the X series

  • TheExile285

Wait so is this 3DS only getting MM3? I thought we were getting the X games too

    • J_Joestar

i believe that the 3DS isn’t getting the SNES X games, just the GB ones.

  • R. Ali

I remember finding that Shoryuken attack when I was young. Jumped up and down the room for hours. lol

  • Kaihedgie

    Overflowing love?

No, I’m just tired of all the whining and feigned and half-hearted attempts at “leaving Capcom”.

I got it the first thousand times before; you all hate Capcom because “no Mega Man”. Guess what: everyone else has done just as bad or far worse. The overall hypocrisy is what ticks me off.
