Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call Makes Random Adventures

By Spencer . October 1, 2013 . 6:14pm

imageTheatrhythm Final Fantasy has dozens of epic songs which were organized by game. Square Enix added a new mode in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call that creates random adventures for players.

Quest Medley Mode randomly picks battle and field songs from the 200+ tunes in Curtain Call’s library and alternates between them. At the end of a quest there’s a boss battle. The idea for Quest Medley Mode is to give players the feeling that they’re on a quest when leveling up characters.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call also has Versus Mode. When you hit notes on beat you fill up an EX Burst Gauge. When an EX Burst is triggered the other player gets a penalty like having to fight a powered up monster or a speed increase to tap notes.

Sounds interesting. But now I don’t feel like playing the original since all my progress and DLC will be for naught :-/

So what’s the word on DLC songs VS in-game songs, if any?

Even with this announced I still want a digital version. I’d transfer over my data and let my wife play the cart version to get a feel for it, since I really want someone to vs mode with when Curtain Call comes out.

Good thing that Quest Medley makes things a bit more varied. The original’s Chaos Shrine was limited and you can figure out which songs you are about to play by looking at the number of the Dark Note.
