Experience is continuing Labyrinth Cross Blood Infinity story with Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss. Both games take place in a Tokyo which is overrun by monsters. A few men and women have special abilities to fight back and join the Exe Corps.

Famitsu explains, Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss has 3D dungeons and you can bring six Exe Corps into a dungeon.

Making dungeon RPGs is Experience’s specialty and Tokyo New World Record has some good ideas like the Rise & Drop system. Fighting enemies increases the Encounter Gauge in the top left hand corner and when this rises there is a greater chance you will run into a stronger enemy which will drop better loot. Players can also leave Dungeon Memos that friends can pick up in their game.

Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss comes out on January 23 in Japan for Vita.

Dungeon Crawlers, love ’em or hate ’em, still undecided on that, but one thing for sure, the art is great.

    • jujubee88

I can’t say because none have come out for VITA here. Don’t own any console or gaming rig either.

  • DyLaN

The art looks nice. Need to see more of it though.

  • TheExile285

I like what I see so far.

The screenshots look pretty cool, I’ll buy this if it comes to NA
Theres a lack of rpgs for the vita here

    • Ric Vazquez

Yep, and that is the genre of games I mostly play, need more JRPG ASAP

  • Cursingcomet

The more I hear or see of this game, the more I get intrigued.

  • Balalaika

Japanese Vita games are out numbering american games by a 10-1. We need more games and more support from big studios like Japan is getting if they want to have a better market here in the US and UK.

  • Aristides

More and more J-exclusive Vita games 0-0. I really hope someone bothers bringing all these Vita games over.

    • TheExile285

NISA is localizing Experience’s first original DRPG, Demon Gaze…….

      • Aristides

I know, and I’m exited about that. But I’m still worried 0-0 if the JRPG batch incoming across these few months doesn’t work out we could be in some real trouble…

  • Skeptika Crediblus

The art looks great, but the FP thing kills it for me.

  • I feel like I’ve seen that artist’s work before. Can anyone help? Lovely, anyway.

I’m a sucker for DRPGs and I like what Experience have been doing so I’m probably going to get this. Poor wallet!
