Similar to how Rockstar carefully recreated SoCal for Grand Theft Auto V, Acquire recreated Akihabara for Akiba’s Trip 2. The game has actual stores from Tokyo’s electric town to visit and when Akiba’s Trip 2 couldn’t get a brand they spoofed it. Did you notice "Softband," "codomo," and "aa?" Those are riffs off cell phone providers Softbank, DoCoMo, and KDDI au.
The main difference is you have to clean up the streets of Akihabara and fight blood sucking creatures. Their weakness is sunlight, which (kind of) explains all of the clothes stripping action. Players have new attacks in the game like the Unison Strip which you can do with a costume character. Just like Akiba’s Trip you can dress up in costumes and your little sister will enhance the weapons and clothes you find.
Akiba’s Trip 2 comes out for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 7.
