During a recent Surge Concerto talk show at ufotable Cinema, fans joined a special event featuring Ion and Cas’ voice actresses who may have teased a little something for the upcoming Ar NoSurge for PlayStation 3.

After showing Ciel NoSurge’s most memorable scenes on the big screen, Gust talked a little about Ciel NoSurge’s final chapter called “The Emperor part” where Cas will be playing a huge role, to the point that it may seem as if she’s the main character. The last DLC chapter is set to be released this December.

The talks soon shifted to Gust’s upcoming game, Ar NoSurge, which is expected to be a cross between Ar Tonelico and Ciel Nosurge, where it was revealed that the voice of Ion (Ai Kakuma) and Cas (Minase Inori) will have a role in Ar NoSurge.

While it has not been confirmed whether they will be reprising their roles as the voices for their previous characters, upon being introduced, the two voice actresses excitedly shouted out “Ion and Cas will be in it!” just as the event host quickly responded by saying “Hey! Nothing has been mentioned about Ion and Cas yet!”

Finally, before the end of the event, they announced that a special app for Ar NoSurge will be released sometime before the game. Playing the app will have some sort of benefit for the actual game when it comes out. Gust will be announcing more information regarding the app in the near future.

hoping this game come to US

  • Rogerrmark

Is the team making this the same that make Atelier?
I wonder if Gust will announce the third game of the Dusk series anytime soo n,since they are working on Rorona remake already too.

About this game, despite my deslike for Ciel no Surge,I would probably take a look, since it uses Ar Tonelico’s system, hmm.

    • pekikuubik

No, this is the Ciel nosurge team, aka the former Ar Tonelico team.

  • Kai2591

I’ve been waiting for more news about this :)

Wonder if we’ll also get that app….Ar NoSurge, please be localized >_<

  • 紅蓮

This also hints that it’s likely that we need to play/have some knowledge about Ciel Nosurge to play Ar Nosurge. Unless it’s only a cameo :/

    • M’iau M’iaut

Wouldn’t surprise me if things turn out much like the latter ATs, where having that knowledge helps understanding back story mentions but doesn’t preclude one from fully understanding the new game. The Ateliers are rife with this overall.

      • 紅蓮

Yea, I pretty much guessed it’d be the case. Another game to skip then. My hands is still full from catching up with Kiseki series

  • bigboss09

now with this final part of ciel no serge come this game will be completed so there is chance to come to the west also I hope ar noserge will not take a long time until to come to US

  • aquagon

I’ll add that the “Emperor part” or better said, the Imperial Arc, is actually the final arc of Ciel Nosurge, so it won’t be actually ending on December. If they use the same release plan as in the previous arcs, it’ll be ending around March, as it would be consisting of four chapters, one released each month. Of course, this is assuming they don’t make the arc longer than the others due to being the conclusion of the game.

It was also announced that a new singer will be providing the vocals for the next chapter’s song: Yoshino Nanjo, which also means a song for a character that has not sung yet. And in a first for Gust, this is the first time they ask a seiyuu to also double as a singer in a game…

  • Cool. I still want Ciel no Surge to get localized too though =)

  • Ai and Inori are so cute. I miss the old Nosurge Web TV spots that had Ai and Nana actually presenting.

When they announced Ar Nosurge I was hoping and hoping that Ion at least would somehow be in it. So happy!
