Sega surprised us with the announcement of their upcoming mash-up between the blob dropping series, Puyo Puyo and the classic block dropping puzzler, Tetris. Sega also revealed a limited edition figurine-attached Nintendo 3DS case set that will also be coming out with the game.
To the left is the 3DS case set featuring series protagonist Arle, along with the always-happy Carbuncle. On the right is the 3DS XL version that shows Amitie from Puyo Puyo Fever and Andou Ringo from Puyo Puyo 7. Both sets will come with all four figurines.
Similar to the Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 accessory set, Sega will separately release both 3DS and 3DS XL versions of the limited edition Puyo Puyo case set for 4,480 yen, while the game itself will be going for 5,229 yen on all platforms.
Puyo Puyo Tetris will be coming out on February 6, 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS.
