The sprites look nice, the game looks alright at worst and I really like DB, but another iPhone game… >_> I knew something was up with the title and image not being clear, but… Oh well, I’ve still got Hard Mode of DB:AA and Origins 1 + 2 to finish.

I wish there was Origins 3 as well, to tie the remaining loose threads and finish Young Goku’s story… But that’s very unlikely to happen :(

So…this will be an episodic title covering the entire manga or is this a standalone RPG?
I’m quite interested how this could go. Looks like Attack of the Saiyans but with the entire early DB story.

While I’d rather see them finish Origins on the 3DS, it’s pretty cool to have a Dragon Ball game that covers mostly everything.

Can you imagine if Raditz took a time machine back to the past and met chibi Goku? Yea, not so tough now, are ya brother!?

There are good developers and sadly, they are wasting their talent making games for smartphones.

That’s where the money is these days. I’d love to buy it on 3DS instead. If they did episodes at $4 a pop, that would be a lot of fun.

I really like the 16bit look the game has

I was concerned they were going to abandon the RPG style they took with Attack of the Saiyans. Kind of hoping for a sequel, but I’ll take a prequel.

I’m just sick of the all the freakin’ fighting games.

this sprite art style reminds me of that awesome Dragon Ball Adventure game for GBA

The old school, pre Raditz dragon makes such a great RPG world. The sheer amount of places Goku visits, Capsule technology, lore etc. As a kid I loved the older Goku super Saiyan arcs, but looking bad, the “original” Dragon Ball was so much more creative and fun.

  • WolfDuo

Don’t see why that haven’t just brought out a Dragon ball / dbz RPG. It’s not like people haven’t been asking since the 90′s.

    • JonathanisPrimus

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans, developed by Monolithsoft evidently does not exist. Forget about the Legacy of Goku trilogy as well …

      • WolfDuo

Yea.. That’d be true IF I was talking about hand helds.. I’m talking about next gen consoles like 360/ps3

        • JonathanisPrimus

At no point did you mention home consoles in the post I replied to.

As an aside, PS3 and 360 aren’t next gen consoles anymore. PS4, and Xbox One are their successors.

They should seriously make a hardcore console Dragon Ball RPG. With Kid Goku of course. Getting a bit tired of DBZ games honestly.
