Dark Souls II’s Limited Edition In Japan Includes Miniature Weapons

Dark Souls II will get a limited edition bundle in Japan, but FromSoftware’s version doesn’t include the Warrior Knight figurine that Namco Bandai is giving out in their collector edition. Japan gets Dark Souls II, a soundtrack CD, art book (100 pages), game map, and a miniature weapons set with tiny die-cast arms in a wooden case. The limited edition version of Dark Souls II will retail for 15,980 yen ($160).

The 7,800 yen ($78) standard edition includes a map and soundtrack CD at launch.

Speaking of weapons, Dark Souls II has special weapons as a bonus if you get the game from specific retailers in Japan.

I want these weapons to slay play with other people.

  • safeto20scroll

    That’s it.
    I’m buying two CEs now.
Why? – Because then I can play dress up with my undead knight figure ofc…

  • TrueDefault

Oww no Halberd, it’s my favourite. Only in Dark souls though, Demon’s souls halberd is awkward to use.

  • Hunts Rattata

I love how, rather than being shiny and intimidating, all the pre-order weapons like they’ve gone through some serious shit or have some weird gunk on them.

  • Tom_Phoenix

I really hope that non-Japanese releases will include a map as well.

If EA was publishing this game the only way you could get new weapons in the game would be equipping those miniature weapons on your figurine. I don’t think I have ever been grateful that Bamco published a game I was looking forward to before.

    • Ferrick

and considering it’s bamco (and from software), these weapons may not be that great after first few bosses

  • Guest

So if you buy both, can you upgrade your Warrior Knight with better equipment?

  • This is unfair :<

    • Ferrick

not really, considering that this is from software, these weapons may just be a 1-up from broken swords

  • fei

Reminds me of Saya no Uta.

  • Josh

Might have to try to find the weapons on ebay, seeing as the PS3 version is sold out and I’m not spending $160 plus shipping for the 360 version if I can’t play the game on my U.S. console.
