sakura1 Well, at least Sakura Wars isn’t totally forgotten. Sega partnered with Mobage to make Sakura Wars for Mobage. The game will have an original story with different characters from the Sakura Wars series.

Sakura Wars for Mobage has a new gameplay system that involves changing costumes. Details about how this will change gameplay have not been announced. Signups for Sakura Wars for Mobage start today and if you register early you’ll get an ultra rare Sakura Shinguji card. Service for the game is scheduled to kick off this winter.

At this point, I might have to start worrying if I’ll die before a Sakura Wars 6.

As crazy as it sounds, I hope this mobage does well so that it shores up some money for a blockbuster return of Sakura Wars….It’s hoping against hope but still.

The New York OVA actually hinted the forming of Berlin Kagekidan, with Ratchet Altair leaving the city to help foresee the process.
Then again, I doubt there will be any Sakura Wars 6… :(

Again with the Berlin Troupe rumors, ugh. Tell me when they do something actually substantial with it.

  • Max

Pleeeeeeease! Give us more Sakura Wars with English translation!

for iOS I don’t think so

No I meant in general. We still have the very first games that many English speaking fans haven’t played yet.

I played the first game and went very far in it, but I could not have the full experience because of language barrier :(

I remember when I played Sakura Taisen 1
I sometimes would make some of the girls upset because it seems I have said something bad to them without me realizing it Haha.

NICE!!! A bit weird to see Sakura’s costume, but then again, in the musicals she wore more ridiculous costumes anyway…

Too bad this is definitely gonna be Japan exclusive…

    Here’s official page:

  • I’m surprised this doesn’t have a bigger following… I mean, it’s like totes steampunk and I thought the western side of the world loved that stuff….

    • That is one of the definitions of it still being a niche thing though. It really depends on what you think big is. There’s quite a few people that follow it but it’s certainly not your Persona series by any stretch of the imagination.

Skipping PS2 version in europe and older fans bad-mouthing about SW5 before release didn’t really help the sales.

      • Jesse

Huh, I never heard about them doing that before now. =o

Did Anyone else think this was about a Touhou game when you just saw the icon? It looks a lot like Reimu

  • Just Tim

Looks like this is a new adventure; I hope it’s canon (video games/musicals/radio dramas).

Anything Sakura Taisen looks good to me. This game has also taken first place on the mobage page. Looks like fans are still into this series and may even be ready for a 6th entry.

Is anyone playing this game? Are there any sites posting the pictures of the costumes?
