Angry Birds Are Going To Crash Through Puzzle & Dragons

By Eugene . November 5, 2013 . 4:32pm

And nothing, nothing will stop them! Rovio’s runaway success Angry Birds is flip-flapping its way into GungHo Entertainment’s own runaway success Puzzle & Dragon’s later this month. The red, blue and yellow will invade Puzzle & Dragons from November 18th to December 1st . As is par for the norm, expect them to show up as capturable or buyable pieces within the game.

Before that happens though, Rovio wants fans to tell them what something like that will look like. From now till November 25th, fans of either can send in their drawings and illustrations—anything goes, said Rovio—and stand to win some nice swag.

Best bit: Competition’s open worldwide for those aged 13 and above. Winners will be announced November 25th. Winners walk away with a special #BirdsandDragons swag pack and the main winner will get a special limited-to-just-one #BirdsandDragons prize from the Angry Birds artist. Rovio also hints there may be more up for grabs later on. If you’re interested in this contest, you can head here.

Puzzle & Dragons is available on iOS and Android.

Oh God, there’s no avoiding them! It’s like the Alfred Hitchcock movie all over again!

Japan needs to chill with crossovers…..

    • Zind Keeper

They need to try harder you mean.

  • Kaetsu

Next there going to make Angry Dragons.

  • freezestar

The two games that everyone is trying to copy combine into an unstoppable (Yet stupid) force. Personally, I find Angry Birds to be a fun Mobile game.

Looks like I won’t be playing P&D for an entire month. I hate those God forsaken birds.

Case in point, both games in the comics are meh. Either Dorkly was defending Angry Birds, which is sad or he was saying both games are alike.

Because fedora-wearing neckbeards and COD fit so well together.

You can’t just lump everything you don’t like together and treat it as a single opponent.

Eggs and ham for everyone then :D

Noooo, why must American pop-culture taint my Japanese game!

    That said… sounds kinda fun!

    • Brandonmkii

This isn’t the first time, I think. They did a Clash of Clans crossover a while back, and even a Batman one recently.

      • http://jesse-dylan.livejournal.com Jesse_Dylan

Your King Slime made me think, what if they did a Dragon Quest-themed version of this game! How cool would that be! Puzzles and Dragon Quest! I’ll call Yuji Horii right now. You ring up Gung Ho.

      • Lumi

Yeah the Batman one is still running, and is in fact pretty neat. Fighting the Joker is no joke!

    • Shady Shariest

      *Coughs* AMERICAN pop-culture? :/

      • JuVu

Don’t feel bad, no one remembers us Finns. We just have to live with it. Like ninjas.

In fact, we could be awesome ninjas with that logic. Even if we cause a ruckus, people will think we’re Americans. Hah, GENIUS!

        • Shady Shariest

“Three American civilians make public announcement of taking over Åland and naming it ‘Little USA’”
          I like it!

        • Göran Isacson

As a Swede, the concept of Finnish ninjas frighten and intrigue me. You already held of the Russians in WW2 with bicycles and snipers (okay so it was a BIT more than that but that’s what popculture has chosen to remember so them’s the breaks), what could you do with NINJAS on top of that?

      • http://jesse-dylan.livejournal.com Jesse_Dylan

Oh, is Angry Birds Finnish? The Angry Birds guy made that comment about Nintendo selling $50 chunks of plastic or something like that. :P hehehehe I think I’d just let everyone believe he’s American if I were you guys. :P

Finland is a beautiful place I hope to visit some day!

        • Shady Shariest

Heh, don’t worry about it :3
Edit: And yes, even we think that there is too much crap made out of these birdies :D

  • d19xx

Those birds don’t look angry to me….

  • rubin

Is this available in Europe yet? I mean P&D.
