Help Aksys Games Provide Relief To Typhoon Haiyan Victims

By Eugene . November 20, 2013 . 2:30pm

The victims of typhoon Haiyan, which tore through the Philippines and left scores dead and wounded, are still struggling to survive even as aid is being rushed to them from around the world. Aksys Games—the guys bringing over titles like Muramasa Rebirth—alongside MarvelousAQL and Arc System Works, want to pitch in, too.

For that, they’re opening up four special limited sets of goods that people can buy for just US$5 each – part of the proceeds to go to the victims.

The stuff you can pick up include a Muramasa Rebirth fan and CD Soundtrack, or a Litograph with the CD Soundtrack, as well as a BlazBlue Jubei Plushie or a Official Comic.

Shipping is included in the first item for US customers only—international folks will have to pay shipping regularly—and the deal ends November 25th. Please consider helping the Philippines victims out.

Where I can buy them? Play-Asia?

  • AkuLord3

Very cool of Aksys, i’ll glad give a word and help out on this~

  • Michael Connell

Just bought the Jubei Plushie and the comic, now to spread the word. Hope this helps

  • Ping92

Bummer it doesn’t ship to my country. I shall donate via other means then

  • chibiwall

I want to support, but I’d like to know the rates for eu customer… I’m scared to pay 5$ and then 10$ only for the shipment

  • z_merquise

This is so nice to see more and more people help out. Our country got hit hard.

Thank you, Aksys. And thanks for the help too, everyone. Even small things do count.

  • Silver Citizen

Argh! I can only afford one and I’m stuck between the Muramasa lithograph or the fan.

  • Hatsoon Mike

    welp

    • Notquitesure?

Its a common pain for us isn’t it,…aahhh… first world problems.

    • IxisNaugus

I got a similar response. Sadly, it seems they also don’t ship to the UK :S

    • MXC

Sadly it would seem odd to have you guys pay more for shipping than the product and it may not sit right with them to do so. Aksys is certainly not a group that mistreats its fans and followers right?

      • lozffvii

I’d rather have them ask me to pay for shipping than simply barring me from getting some interesting memorabilia (and preventing themselves from getting more money for the relief effort).

    • Tobias Johnson

I live in Australia too and I was so mad when I saw this. C’mon, we want to help out / get some sweet merch too! :’(

    • lozffvii

      I feel your pain.
      They don’t ship to the uk either ;_;

  • Curan_Altea

Went ahead and got one of each.

You guys should really put the link in the article. Thanks to PreyMantis. Posting this just so it’s not all the way at the bottom since it was a reply and not its own comment.

    • Mr_SP

Indeed. I was panicking there for a moment.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

Isn’t it the “they’re opening up four special limited sets of goods” the link to the store?

      • PersonaBull

That link wasn’t there last night. I’m happy they added a link to the article finally, though! Not really sure why you’d jump to me being blind before thinking the link was added in well after my comment… :3

        • MrSirFeatherFang

I was thinking it was added in after the first person who posted it. And from your response, that’s exactly what happened

  • Aoshi00

Nice, last time they did the same thing for the Jpn Tsunami too right.. I got the BlazBlue Hope T-shirt :) I think I would get the fan, the litograph and mini-soundtrack came w/ the Muramasa LE alrdy.. I forgot if I alrdy got the comic before.. it’s mainly for the help, but I don’t wanna buy the same thing..

  • Hinataharem

Just donated. Don’t care what I get out of it. God bless the survivors.

They gave me that comic when I bought the BB stick

  • 07thCrow

Aksys is just awesome. I remember they did the same thing for Japan back when they got hit with that tsunami/blizzard combo. This is a good company right here, and I am always more than happy and proud to support them. God bless them and the survivors.

  • PowerOfTheFlamesIori

Bought the Jubei plushie. The plushie looked cute and it’s for a good cause.

  • Arrngrim

Thanks for sharing this, Eugene! I promptly surfed over and purchased all 4 items. (~.~):b And a big thanks to those that posted the link to the items at the Aksys store!

  • artemisthemp

Wish this was available for Non-US people

  • Kevin Schwarz

OR you could DONATE to the RED CROSS, and DIRECTLY help the victims…

    Bless you, Aksys~!

  • Mordina

    Aksys <3

  • lozffvii

It’s a nice offer, but I wouldn’t feel right not giving Aksys money for the items, I also wouldn’t feel right expecting someone else to foot the cost of sending a package overseas.
Further, if there’s one rule I have about the internet it’s ‘not paying money to an unknown third party’. I’m sure you’re a perfectly upstanding citizen, but no-one can actually prove such a thing over the net.
Thanks again, but I’ll just admire the items from afar…
