Japan Getting 18 Month Xbox Live Gold Cards For A Steal

By Spencer . November 25, 2013 . 11:54pm

Microsoft has a good deal for Xbox Live subscribers in Japan. In December, they will release an 18 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold plus a download code for Fable Heroes. This bundle will cost for 5,754 yen ($56), a steal considering that a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold is $59.99 here.

Microsoft also has a Grand Theft Auto V cards with 14 months of Xbox Live Gold available in Japan now for 5,229 yen ($51)

it most likely failed from the looks of it

When it comes to paying for a peer to peer connection, “steal” is easily the right word.

They should have Dedecate server now, but still a rip off

I think Microsoft should be more worried about trying to get some Japanese games on the Xbox One if they really want anyone to buy it over there.

Not really all they have to do is “port” since all the systems are the bloody same with the same architecture.

Rumor has it it won’t even release in Japan.

What I find interesting is the new logo being featured. I know, I know, it has replaced the old one pretty much everywhere else already, but Japan doesn’t even have the XB1 announced as far as I know, so this could mean something?

And since the only JRPG developer I’m interested in totally hates Sony and has been busy with mobile games lately…

Who is that? they can’t be worth looking into if they hate sony.

Mistwalker. Founder totally hates Sony, or more specifically, the Square-Enix+Sony marriage.

        • TheHolypopeofgaming

Hating sony is hating video games. I wouldn’t trust somebody who talks shit about Sony to make a good game ever.

          • Sergio Briceño

It’s too bad. They have made the best jrpgs of the last generation, sadly they have turned to the mobile market as of late… But if they ever come back to their roots and you happen to like that genre, you’ll be missing on a lot.

Blue Dragon was MEH and Lost Oddessy wasn’t even made by them. Feel+ did all the world.

          • Sergio Briceño

There are actually more games by them, like The Last Story for Wii. BD was awesome, so much better than any other JRPG this generation in my opinion, only thing I hated was the battle music (it was cool, but there were just 2 tracks). And the only thing I really consider a masterpiece about LO was the story, which was all Mistwalker’s, except for the 1000 years of dreams, which was a collaborative work (which I enjoyed even more and personally consider this is the way side stories should be told in videogames, Drakengard 3 is a nice example of that).
