JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle Update Coming November 28

By Spencer . November 25, 2013 . 2:39am

imageNamco Bandai has another update prepared for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle that rebalances the game. One of the main changes in version 1.04 is the tweaking the amount of meter the Heart Heat Gauge increases and the energy used.

Stand style characters will play differently with Stand On and Stand Off so players have to pick their strategy. Also, Mode style character will have more chances to use their ability.

Specific character changes are detailed here, but by the time Namco Bandai releases JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle in the West these will probably be implemented in the game. If you have the Japanese version you can get the patch on November 28.

It’s really cool they didn’t just abandon the game even though all the content is out now. At the very least they can have the game as balanced as possible in time for the western release.

    • Hunts Rattata

All the characters may be out, but they’ll probably continue to make money off of Campaign mode, and that would help them to financially justify continued support.

Hell, I’m sure WANDERFUL-WORLD has bought enough dumplings to put somebody’s kid through college.

For a second there, I thought the release date would be November 28 stateside.

Me too. I nearly had a sheer heart attack reading the title.

Oh this is very interesting I was playing ASB yesterday :) so this is great news because i love the game and to see CC2 take care of it like they have been doing is amazing.

“If you have the Japanese version you can get the patch on November 28.”

If you don’t have the Japanese version, wait a little bit more …. dang it !

  • urbanscholar

Haha so stand characters get nerfed and the playing field is more even. Good

  • KuroNathan

hopefully they got rid of the easy infinites, hopefully.

    • EA575

They already got rid of the infinites in the previous patch back in October

    • Ninastars

They got patched out ages ago. This update most likely focuses on some of the hitbox issues regarding characters with humanoid Stands.

    • Hunts Rattata

The last balance update introduced a crude-but-effective infinite prevention system. I’m fuzzy on the specifics, but basically your combo will end if you connect with the same attack too many times – for example you only get seven Light hits in a combo.

You can get around it with multi-hitting moves by making sure the first hit whiffs, like with Vanilla Ice’s kick rush, but it’s already loads better than the week one “c.l > walk forward > c.l > walk forward repeat” and “launcher near a wall > jab 5ever” silliness

Hmmm, so I guess this next patch is to help the game’s pacing? more meter = faster gameplay? maybe?

  • miyamoto

This fighter is fun as can be!

But bring Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation to the west NamcoBandai!
    Why Japan and Asia only?
