    Nice.

Wow! So there are still regions left? Wonder if those SEA countries buy a lot of PSs.

So most sold in NA huh? Is that surprising? I thought EU was Sony land?

    • EinMugenTenshin

Hehe, the reason for that is simple. They shipped much more PS4s to America than the EU, because they feel they got an advantage in Europe. Japan (their homeground and safe haven) will not get any PS4 before next year.

The logic behind it is that more people would buy xboxs in the US if they don’t get it quickly.

Never the less it boils down to that Sony has sold their first batch of PS4s, which is not surprising at all.

    • hazelnut1112

I would say because EU would feel cheated because majority of those TV and sports features the Xbone has is only limited to NA.

    • Emsa

I’m in europe and I would have bought one but I was to late, you had to pre-order at the latest in August I think to get a PS4 at launch, after that you will “probably” get your console before christmas, but the stores are not promising anything.

There simply isn’t enough consoles :(

  • animedemon

    i want Yakuza: Restoration T.T

    • WizarD

      I want MGS 5 T_T

      • miyamoto

        dude that game looks amazing!

  • Detrimont

i know it’s sold out everywhere in NZ, but what about other countries?

    • cameron forsyth

sold out before sun rise in the south. TT__TT

  • Pockystix

it’s good to see these sales numbers. I’m gonna be sitting out for a bit, at least until the system gets some must-own RPGs on it. But I’m glad it’s doing well.

  • icecoffemix

Hopefully it would do as well in the home country come February, I need those jap 3rd party support. :/

  • Shippoyasha

The Western world and most of the regions will do very well. I’m just worried about low Japanese home sales, meaning less Japanese titles if that’s the case. PS4 doesn’t really have many ‘must buy’ caliber hits yet on the Japanese front so I hope that changes soon.

    • greeeed

      errrr… low japan sell?

it haven’t come out in japan yet….
(so it’s normal to have zero sell in japan)

      • Shippoyasha

I just meant how portables have been stealing the thunder and Japanese buyer habits gravitated towards portables as well. I love that the PS3 did well, but I think there could have been more major Japanese title releases. But it was still a step back from the glorious PS2 days.

During the Japanese release date, Japan will have Japanese titles out by then. After which, it becomes a wait-and-see situation. It’s too early for any doom and gloom talk – let’s see how it does over a period of time.

    • miyamoto

the ps3 has proven good Japanese game support for Sony.
3rd party support has been PlayStations’s winning formula since PSOne. Something M$ tried and tried to copy but … still Nintendo does not get it.

I chose PS3 over 360 or wii coz I knew back in 2009 it will have great Japanese games library. And I was right!
PS4 no doubt will exceed PS3 Japanese games support 10x over.

Looking forward to JStars Victory VS, Jojo and Saint Seiya fighters!
Still enjoying Mobile suit Gundam Battle Operations to this day

  • James Enk

    wow, good job Sony

  • PreyMantis

Great news! I just hope we get more RPGs after it comes out of Japan.

  • xe7en

I’ll hold out until JRPG comes flooding in. For now, I’m good with ps3 with all the games coming out on 2014.

    • MogCakes

I still have 20 games on PS3 to play, sitting in my media room.

    • Yan Zhao

Pretty much teh only reason I didnt buy a PS4 yet. Where the JRPGs at!

      • Carlos Luis Ayala

Um being made in Japan :-P

        • Yan Zhao

They better be in the process of being made, if they ever want me to buy a PS4 :3

    • karldeck

Persona 5 will stab me in the heart until I get it in my hands.

  • miyamoto

The Video Game Industrial Revolution is happening…right here right now with PS4. The King Saviour of console gaming.

    • Kelohmello

      Based Sony saving video games.

    • Hector Velar

Amen to that. All you Xbox players (which I was one) If it was not for Sony, the Xbone one would have been a lot worse than it already is, reach deep in your hearts and admit it. No trading games games, less specs, camera always on spying on you, and tons and tons of other changes that they made…thanks to PS4!

    • Lucky Dan

You should correct that Activision and EA are the savior of console gaming as the top 10 titles sold are COD, BF4 and ASS creed 4 as well as multitude of sports game..

They should start asking Sony for lots of money for moving so many consoles in so little time.. They have the power now!!

If COD wasn’t on PS4 at all they would of sold shit.

  • http://shadious.tumblr.com/ Vince

Thus, the next era of gaming is upon us.

  • Göran Isacson

    And so, it begins.

And as things ARE just beginning, there’s no telling how they might end. To say that Sony has won the battle is to celebrate FAR too early, imo. From the looks of things both Sony and MS have sold over a million (watch this space for if MS announces they’ve ALSO sold two million), and there’s not a lot of conclusions you can draw from that just yet, beyond that they’re sure selling better than the Wii U. But even so one should take development costs and if Sony and MS are selling the consoles at a loss and a myriad of other factors. All I can say at this point is that two million consoles sold, especially when neither line-up is that powerful, ought to be enough to cast some shade over the naysayers of the console business. Looks like at the very least two million people aren’t quite willing to just game on their phones.

    • Carlos Luis Ayala

Sony sold a million in 1 area day 1 while MS sold a million in 13 areas day 1. So do the math XD

  • FlyingPony

    Good job, Sony.

  • Shady Shariest

But…But…They didn’t win in the U.S! And that alone tells how things are going t-
    *Pfff* Pokerface broke :3

    • Carlos Luis Ayala

What are you talking about Sony sold a mill in the us in 1 day while microsoft needed 13 countries to sell a mill.

      • Shady Shariest

Heh, just watched “The Daily Byte” earlier today, which told that Xbox One was the most sold of the hardware in the U.S during Black Friday :P
And i was trying to seriously say that Xbox being big in U.S meant something worldwide… But i can’t keep a straight face even explaining this joke :3

        • mike dickson

please don’t fight we are at peace finally lets all get along for once

          • Shady Shariest

Heh, was not fighting, merely simulating what traditional media will most likely make out of this :3
Don’t worry, i’m all for peace and actually just playing instead of wordfights :3

edit; Note for self: Do not use “heh” in many comments in a row :/

  • http://www.falgram.com/ Falmung

The Japan finisher sales will make every japanese developer out there want to start churning out JRPGs. Bring it!

  • Lucky Dan

    Ok after analyzing everythin

Sony and Microsoft has done nothing to save the console gaming bar making the consoles

Activision and EA are the savior of console gaming as the top 10 titles sold are COD, BF4 and Assassin creed 4 as well as multitude of sports game..

They should start asking Sony and Microsoft for lots of money for moving so many consoles in so little time.. They have the power now!!

If COD, BF4 or Assassin Creed or even Grand Theft Auto wasn’t on PS4 at all they would of sold nothing.

  • Lelouch Vi Britannia

    PS4 is the new PS2.

  • Carlos Luis Ayala

Well the numbers don’t lie Europe bought a million X1′s too and I disagree with the culture bs it delends on the individual the idiots don’t define us all.
