Square Enix announced April 2014 as the release window for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn during the PlayStation Awards last night. That timeframe isn’t just for Japan.

Square Enix America also announced that the service start date for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PlayStation 4 is scheduled for April 2014 too. Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida will demo the PS4 version at 4 AM PST on Saturday, December 14 during a Producer’s Letter Live event. A global beta for the PS4 release will start on February 22, the same day PlayStation 4 launches in Japan.
