That Kirito… girls just rain on him.

    • DyLaN

Its a standard thing among harem genre MCs.

      • David García Abril

Although I gotta say, people tend to exaggerate the harem aspect of the series.

In the anime, outside of a couple of filler episodes and one or two scenes played for laughs, Kirito’s uncanny ability to attract chicks is far from being the focus or even a secondary aspect…

I’m not saying those elements aren’t there. Just that it’s not really at the core of the story.

Although to be fair, the marketing and the jokes from the writer about the matter don’t help.

        • Romancer Ecclesia

          Jokes? You mean Chapter 16.5?

          • David García Abril

Chapter 16.5 was a joke, true, but “another kind” of joke, so to speak. lol

What I mean is the jokes that Reki Kawahara makes in interviews and stuff, like when he said that he’s unable to write a female character in this series without making her fall in love with Kirito.

          • Romancer Ecclesia

Oh okay, now I understand… ahh, the harem dilemma. :P

        • natchu96

It made the part in the Alicization arc where he remarks on how his plan to not fight any girls until the tournament he’ll be in a year or so later has completely and utterly failed. With schoolgirls his age (technically). Again.

Of course, it all went downhill for much more serious reasons, but then he fights two more girls nearly to the death as well, so he really can’t get out of this can he?

All females that don’t get incapacitated and are never seen again are either tsun- or ku- for Kirito.

    • Romancer Ecclesia

If you follow the LNs, the story arcs take on more serious twists akin to Aincrad and numerous twists are fleshed out at volume 10+ of the novel. This guy worked on SAO for 11 years, there’s a lot more to come (if it ever gets localized/2nd-3rd season anime).

  • Raze

    I’m wondering…
Will they make use the touch screen to activate skill Instead of press the button?

  • David García Abril

Not bad, but why do I have the feeling that this limited edition would be more successful with a hug pillow?

  • DyLaN

Look like the entire IM cast is coming back. Cool. Now gimme Strea route.

    EDIT:

    http://gematsu.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/SAOHF-LE_12-10_002.jpg
    LE cover art.

  • TheExile285

Hmm, should I grab that LE or just with the regular? Decisions, decisions…

  • greg_67

I haven’t been following this but the LE cover shows all the characters from the PSP game so is this a sequel with returning characters or a remake of the PSP game with whole new additions for the Vita?

    • InfectedAI

It’s certainly not a remake of the PSP game. They take place in completely different areas and have different stories. Looks like a sequel to me.

      • greg_67

So I haven’t heard news on having the returning characters until they showed the LE boxart so it look like confirmation that Sinon and the PSP original character Strea will be part of this game. Hope to see a trailer that shows off gameplay with those girls.

      • Renaldi Saputra

I think it’s a remake with some improvements and edits, for the system, not the story and places

        • InfectedAI

That makes no sense. A remake includes levels and story. It’s a sequel that improves on the mechanics. Like most sequels do.

          • Renaldi Saputra

but they do copy paste on the models, also the battle system is from PSP only it looks different a bit now bcos the improvements

  • Aristides

How about a western release date :P

  • Anesia Hunter

can i cry yet for knowing this won’t get localized no matter how awesome it is?

  • Xerain

Need to see costume to determine if its’ worth $30 or not.
The other stuff in the LE isn’t doing much for me.

  • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

If only they would translate this into English…oh well, I only have one word to say right now: GIMME!!!

  • [S]unjΔy of Equestria

    Localization? :(

    • Renaldi Saputra

      all I can say is
      hmmm
for this kind of game, there’s no chance Namdai will announce localization before the game is released in Japan unlike dragon ball, naruto, one piece, or another major Jump series..

at least if they really really kindly will eventually localize, they’ll announce about 3-12 months after released the game..
