Chinese Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Has A Limited Edition

By Eugene . December 15, 2013 . 12:30pm

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will land in Asia, with Japanese audio and Chinese text on January 16th—almost a month ahead of the US. Additionally, the game will have a special limited edition version that comes with a Monokuma pixel rubber key ring, 16 original postcards of the characters and a kickass box to house it all in. Gives us hope there might be a limited edition version for the English release, yes?

Just to help everyone keep it clear in their head, this is the updated Vita version of the first in the series of games, with updated graphics, touch screen options during the classroom trials and a whole new “School Mode”. In this new mode, you’ll have to work alongside the pixelart versions of all the other school kids, somehow finding the parts to make a fake Monobear while tasking students to work at different parts of the campus. You’ll also be able to raise your friendship levels by giving presents to each student.

Sony also teased that there would be an announcement on Super Danganronpa 2: Sayonara Zetsubou Gakuen at the 2014 Taipei Game Show, although we’ll have to wait for more news on that.

In the meantime, twiddle your thumbs and feast your eyes on that limited edition while waiting for Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc’s US release on February 11th, with Europe getting it a few days later on February 14th.

Siliconera is one of my go-to sites because I like how they cover the obscure, unheard of games (like DR). However, I’m convinced that they don’t ever proofread their stuff. I mean, come on.

    • Pichi

Very disappointed that Siliconera didn’t check about that. You would think they would do an article for the English LE. Losing some clicks there.

  • Kaetsu

The English LE is better than this one IMO.

  • MasterScrub

We do have a special edition though.

  • Pdugna

This LE is the first LE I shall buy of a game in ages….I want more games like this to come to the West…sick and tired of western games in everything.

    • Croix Zapp

      i want that keychain..

      • Pdugna

Not gunna lie I don’t care about the extras just want to give more money to Devs and such. Will definitely keep and appreciate the OST though.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Ahh I want that monokuma keychain.

Is Trigger Happy Havoc the name they’re using for the Chinese version? Is the Chinese version going to be the one NA is getting? I mean, are they getting the vita version of the first game or are they getting the vita version japan got aka 1+2 Reload?

    • Mr_SP

It’s the Vita version of the first game. Doesn’t sound like it includes the English translation, though.

I’m more curious about the Dangan Ronpa 2 announcement. Hopefully… worldwide release, am I right? :>

(Everyone better be buying the first game, BTW!!! I’ll start my own school of despair if it doesn’t sell well enough for the sequel game to come over!)

This game is what makes want to have a Vita. BUY PEOPLE!! We want Danganronpa 2!!

This might be an announcement about SDR2 will have an international release (I hope so).

  • DyLaN

Nice, but I will go for english usually when I have the option to do so.
