Super Heroine Chronicle’s Original Heroes Leap Into Action

By Spencer . December 16, 2013 . 3:39am

Sure, Super Heroine Chronicle has Super Sonico and characters from Infinite Stratos in it. On top of those, Namco Bandai worked with famous artists to create original characters. Meru, the girl with the pigtails, was designed by Tora Minazuki best known for To Heart. Growlanser artist Satoshi Urushihara drew Noel, the girl with a top hat, and Eternal Poison artist Shinchiro Otsuka made Claude.

Super Heroine Chronicle comes out on February 6, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita

Please tell me the male character isn’t the main character. We don’t need a blank everyman that the sweaty otaku can project themselves on to imagine being with all their favorite waifus.

    • Welcome to waifu subculture.

      • J_Joestar

Really, it would be a surprise if it wasn’t a blank everyman that is easy to project yourself on to.
It is either that of a female lead because Yuri love is Pure and clean in the eyes of Otaku.

if the game sells that way then that is how it shall be….not like most will care about romancing them from our side, it’ll be awesome seeing the confrontations between the different characters.

I’m very doubtful this game will get an international release. The cost of licensing all the characters will make localization quite expensive. It’s not like the other crossover games where the characters are mostly owned by one or two game companies.

Don’t talk like that have some hope here

I once said the same thing about Jéan from Queen’s Blade/Gate.

      Oh boy, was I wrong.

You do realize a character can be generic and yet at the same time, have plenty of character? Jéan is a perfect example of that. He’s really, REALLY generic both in terms of appearance and personality but that’s what made him likable. He was essentially any other guy out there put into that situation. He just had terrible luck. That was pretty much his character. Ordinary guy, terrible luck.

Just wait before you say something like that. Who knows, it might surprise you what Banpresto can do.

In a game called Super Heroine chronicles I assume the cast would be all female. Because that’s the draw of the title. I don’t need a male character to project myself onto in order to enjoy these games. Despite what developers think.

Way to ignore my post entirely.

Jean was the male main character of QUEEN’S BLADE AKA a series that has yet to establish a single male teen or adult character in canon.

-In a game called Super Heroine chronicles I assume the cast would be all female

I would assume that all the characters in Super Robot Wars were Super Robots.
I would assume that they would be no males in Queen’s Blade.

But you aren’t? You’re only projecting if you want to project.

I didn’t ignore your post, I read it. But that doesn’t change my perspective. It feels like developers are shoving a male main character just so the Otaku will have something to project onto so they can be with their “waifus”.

They aren’t lol that would be true if this was harem visual novel but it’s not

    • Kumiko Akimoto

From the looks of him he’s a probably a stotic shouta who reluctantly gets dragged into things

    • J_Joestar

You know who they should get as an MC?

  • It looks so cute and fun… Why am I a sucker for these things?

  • Nerroth

Is the artist who designed Claude the same one who did the characters for the two Conception games?
