The Fossil Fighters series shares a lot in common with Pokémon and not just because it will have a comic in CoroCoro. Players excavate vivosaurs from fossils by chipping dirt away on the touch screen and each vivosaur has four parts (head, body, arms, and legs). New for Fossil Fighters: Infinite Gear are cars called Fossilmobiles.

You can drive a speedy racer, a buggy, or a tracking car that can find fossils. Cars can be further customized by equipping different parts. If you run into a dinosaur with your car you can use support guns to attack first.

Interesting series. I hope this one gets localized, and that they’ve improved the combat.

I wonder if they balanced the game a bit more. I remember that I spent too much time excavating fossils to complete each dinosaur to the point of having a few “overpowered” ones (compared to the opponents) before the first tournament.

Now all I need is a new Dinosaur King game and a new Spectrobes for monster dino hunting fun.

    Which will never happen.

so do we get to clean up fossils while taking on 5 consecutive downhill hairpin turns?

  • Rasputing

O…kay. If the zones are larger (which I would love), I suppose that makes sense. Interesting, actually. Hope there’s a part for the buggy that lets you excavate in the field.
