imageJump Festa is a show for manga fans, but year after year more video games make their debuts at the event. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia will bring Freedom Wars, a hotly anticipated hunting game for Vita to Jump Festa, and it will be playable.

Freedom Wars takes place in a prison where players fight to shave time off their sentences. Freedom Wars is slated for release in 2014.

Ah, nice. Hopefully we’ll get to see some of the different weapons and enemies in action…Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if the only thing they let the players fight is the standard skeleton-ish Abductor.

Not sure why, but the closer the event for Freedom Wars, the less excited I get.

Thrill of the chase? Fear to not meet my expectations?

  • Arcana Wiz

The art is beautiful as always, kinda want to see the gameplay.

Whether or not it gets one, I’d say it will likely deserve one.

There are quite a few games in the “hunt giant monster” category now, and frankly there aren’t that many disappointments compared to most other genres, as far as I can tell.

      It needs to happen, people.

  • Yes! 2014 is almost here, and it’s looking awesome for games. Was waiting for more info on Freedom Wars =^_^=
