Here’s A Good Look At Attack on Titan’s Levi And Sasha DLC

By Eugene . December 27, 2013 . 12:29pm

Fans of Attack on Titan quite happily celebrated Levi’s birthday on December 25th and developer Spike Chunsoft wished him a belated happy birthday by coming out with the promotional video for their Nintendo 3DS version of the title above a day later.

titan1

No wonder he looks pissed off, swinging around and trying to take down the female Titan. (WARNING: SPOILERS IN LINK) Levi is free till January 31st.

The video also shows off Sasha “Potato Girl” Blouse, who is a free DLC for a short period of time. Yes, that is her whipping out a fork and knife instead of the twin swords every Survey Corps member carries around with them while hunting. Since she’s known to be always hungry, it’s pretty cool and funny to see she gets to eat while on the battlefield and even shouts food-related battle shouts like “It’s time to eat!”

While no one is going to let Attack on Titan win awards in the graphics department, it does manage to capture the sense of speed and mad movements that the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear gives to its wearers quite well. And when you’re whizzing around a titan trying to get to its back, the last thing you want to worry about is how Levi’s face looks, right?

Both Levi and Sasha’s DLC are currently available for Attack on Titan on the Nintendo 3DS. Again, Levi’s is free till January 31st, while Sasha’s end date hasn’t been announced yet.

    Sasha in “Shingeki no Potato”.

  • TheExile285

Looks pretty cool. Also, I love Sasha’s weapons at the end lol.

  • Jibun Rest@rt

It makes me sad that Sasha’s character has been reduced to that one joke. Ah, well. Whatever sells (when it’s no longer free, of course).

    • J_Joestar

well she would probably have been killed off already if that joke hadn’t made her as popular as she is now.

      • Jibun Rest@rt

I really don’t think that’s the case. She really only became hugely popular after the anime, and by then she was still alive in the manga.

      • Marcus Thurston

Nah, she was written well starting from the beginning, and she was pretty badass at that, her popularity from the anime wasn’t really gonna influence characterization that already happened in the manga. Not to mention, don’t forget she fought off Titans without 3DMG armed with just a bow and arrow..while hungry

        • J_Joestar

well i read the manga well after the fact so i can’t say much for the timeline on the author’s choices, but IIRC that fight with the bow and arrow was supposed to have been when the author was planning to kill her off originally so surviving that had less to do with her established skill at the time and more as to whether the author was going to keep her around.

          • FlyingPony

The author not killing her by making her a more skilled Titan killer, so I see no problem. She did show she is strong, after all.

        • Rayhan PromisedGallery

yeah, the author already decide to let her live even before the anime starts, she’s already badass before the anime fans turn her into potato joke in every single fan art..

and hell, she only eats potato at the beginning, at the other time she eats bread and food that’s easy to carry

          • Sardorim

Actually in the current Arc she tries to steal a Potato in their storage to eat later but Armin catches her.

          • Jibun Rest@rt

Wasn’t it a loaf of bread? I thought it was bread the second time…but it’s kind of hard to tell sometimes with the manga, unfortunately.

      • MXC

Actually the author was originally gonna do an everyone dies ending in the beginning but once AOT gained popularity he abandoned that idea.

    • FlyingPony

Well, she have a vital role on making the reader mood shifted after the long “who will die next” and blood splattering on the street after Titan’s eating his crunchy meal..

      Not a bad thing.

  • J_Joestar

colossal skinless suit? wonder if there is the female version.

Also Monkey Vs. Eren? is that part of the story mode or multiplayer mode thing? (titanshifting in multiplayer mode feels like it would be a bad thing >_>)

  • Herok♞

Ok Sasha isn’t that bad when on the battlefield she atleast trys not to be killed and takes herself seriously while doing so

  • Detrimont

    SHE ATE ONE POTATO…. ONE!!!!!

    • David García Abril

They will never live it down… lol

      • Detrimont

        this why i hate “fandoms”
(in quote marks, because they don’t actually seem like actual fans)

      • Thatguy

It’s like in real life nicknames, then.

        • David García Abril

Well, maybe because that’s her nickname in-universe too (芋女 imo onna. Literally “Potato woman”). At least, for a couple of episodes.

And as you can imagine, the nickname it’s now being transfered to other languages as well. The first BD was released in Spain 10 days ago and it’s also there (“Chica patata”).

I would actually take away the link to the Female Titan in this article entirely. Hovering over the link reveals the [obvious] spoiler.

  • Servant BerserCAR

Oh man, Sasha will wreak havoc with that fork and knife.

  • Crevox

Even hovering over the link is a spoiler

Why would you even link it

  • Namuro
  • Otto Cerqueira

The game is not even released and DLC is already confirmed. *sigh* Games these days…

  • Masa

    games looks bad.

  • Kari

The DLC is free for those who bought the game
