Project Diva F 2nd’s Vita Version Lets You See Miku Perform Anywhere

By Eugene . December 29, 2013 . 12:30pm

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd’s PlayStation Vita version will come packed with its own special feature called AR Live. This mode gives Miku the freedom she’s always dreamed about, to get out into the real world and perform for her adoring fans on a sidestreet someplace. Sorta.

The feature makes use of markerless AR to enable Miku to dance and sing overlaid on your Vita camera. You’ll be able to dress Miku or her friends up and they’ll perform one of eight songs at release that were chosen from the Magical Miku 2013 concert.

The PlayStation 3 version will have a Live Studio mode which will let you watch those 8 songs as Miku and her friends sing their concert. It’s not quite the same as taking Miku along with you wherever you go, but this at least lets us know the 8 chosen songs aren’t exclusive to one or the other. Check out the screenshots below. Oh, and you’ll also be able to change their modules/clothes as well to suit your tastes.

< I'm grinning because Miku will dance on my desk.

Only a step away from real holograms in your desk.

*Remembers that Primal Rage port in the millenium falcon table*

    • PreyMantis

Oh, man! I just had an awesome idea! What if you have both the Project Mirai and this together on your desk!?

Might have to get the Vita version for this :3

    • Xerain

Also the Vita’s buttons are slightly less mushy than the PS3′s… though the are ea tad on the small side. But many of the hardcore players who didn’t buy a special controller consider the vita buttons superior.

Not to mention the perfect screen syncing with the vita and inputs.

Am I the only one who thinks there’s really nothing wrong with PS3 version?

      • MyBodyIsReady

Vita is where it’s at. I can’t play Miku on the big screen, my Dad might walk past and be ashamed and confused

        • Kaitsu

And that’s why you’ll have her dance on your dad’s head.

  • cyberkinghardy

I wish we don’t have to pay for DLC like the previous one.

    > “Magical Miku 2013 Concert” instead of “Magical Mirai 2013 Concert” (held on August 30, 2013)

Oh, Eugene. Sometimes I wonder if you really hate Miku. You’re on a roll for getting several facts wrong when it comes to Miku-related articles: getting the release date for Project Diva F 2nd twice (even though the embedded video has the date on it), and writing the wrong titles of at least one song per post, then this.

Think of all the graves I can make Miku dance on! This will be GREAT.

graves, toilets, dogs, CATS, MOUTHS, SPIKES, SWORDS, INCOMING TRAFFIC, COFFINS, DEAD BODIES, etc
