Tokyo New World Record Isn’t Dead, But Cyberfront’s Other Unreleased Games Are

By Spencer . December 30, 2013 . 12:26am

tok1 Cyberfront, publisher of Western PC games and visual novels, has been working with dungeon RPG maker Experience. The two companies ported Labyrinth Cross Blood from PC to PlayStation Vita and a direct sequel called Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss was scheduled to come out on January 23, 2014.

Unfortunately, Cyberfront was shut down. Most of their future releases including Saint’s Row IV for PC, Europa Universalis IV for PC, and WRC 4 World Rally Championship for PS3 & Vita have been canceled. The only good news is Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss will be released, but the game has been delayed from its planned January 23 launch. No news about Skullgirls Encore and Cyberfront published the original PS3 version in Japan.

Aww, shame about Europe Universalis and Saint’s Row IV not getting released. Hopefully someone else might pick up the projects in their place. Not to mention Skullgirls Encore: the fortunes of that poor game, man…
