Mock Neptune Console Packed With Hyperdimension Neptunia Soundtrack CDs

By Spencer . January 10, 2014 . 1:28am

nep-11The Hyperdimension Neptunia series is a parody of the video game industry with riffs on Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. Neptune is a joke about the Sega Neptune console (a 32X and Genesis all in one machine) that never came out, but you can put a Neptune console from the Neptunia series on your shelf. It just won’t play any games since it’s a mock Neptune machine.

The Hyperdimension Neptunia Share Complete Discs is a compilation of vocal songs from the PS3 games, anime series, and the PlayStation Vita title Hyperdimension Neptunia PP Idol. You get five CDs with original versions and remixes. It’s the packaging that makes this set unique since the discs are in a Neptune console. The "system" measures 330 mm x 330 mm x 60 mm. You also get a mock Neptune controller that’s 140 mm x 20 mm, which is a little smaller than a DualShock 3.

The CDs are packaged inside a mock manual and you get a map of Gameindustri too. Mages will sell the item for 12,800 yen ($122) on March 26.

Welp…time to do some importing. :)

  • http://burnpsy.wordpress.com/ burnpsy

I wish I could afford to import this one, but it isn’t meant to be, sadly.

Also, Neptunia PP has an official English title, y’know… (Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection)

  • artemisthemp

I almost feel like importing this, but it’s in March (So many games releases)

  • FetusZero

Welp.. now that I know what’s inside the box, pre-order placed. March is going to ruin me -_-

    • Pheria

Did you get yours from AmiAmi, or somewhere else?

It’s my first time ordering from AmiAmi so I just wanted to relate to someone in saying it’s strange to place a pre-order and then be told they’ll just contact me later to pay. o_O

      • Arcliff7

It’s fine. AmiAmi is a trusted site, I’ve bought some games from them and each time everything went smoothly.

      • FetusZero

XD it didn’t feel so weird for me since I used to frequently shop on PaletWeb back then, which works in a similar way (and are a lot more shady than AmiAmi).

My first order on AmiAmi actually dates from last weekend. They do the same with in-stock items. I ordered a 2014 Neptunia calendar (it was the last one!), placed the order, then they contacted me for payment only once they had shipping fees calculated and item ready to ship. Once paid it shipped the next day. According to tracking it should be here next week, can’t wait :]

AmiAmi is wonderful and I love them very much.

Just don’t ask them to cancel anything. Like, ever.

        • PoweredByHentai

I’ve asked them to cancel an item once in a while. Mostly because I pre-ordered a game before a Limited Edition version was announced.

The alternative would be to ask them to upgrade my regular version to the Limited Edition version.

Seeing as how I’m a regular customer on their site, they’re kind of okay with letting me get away with those rare instances.

That’s pretty cool. I think I many have to get one =^_^=

I was wondering when they’d do something for the “console!” I kind of need this now.

The life of a collector is a hard and expensive one >.>

  • Ren Yuumei

    damn…my wallet

  • Keko

I might buy this; it’s not like I wanted to eat during March or anything.

  • http://playstationallstars.wikia.com/wiki/PlayStation_All-Stars_Wiki Sackchief

They should make the controller functional and compatible with the PS3/PS4. As much as I like the DualShock, I’d probably use the Nepstation controller more often.

  • Chatdimension

This might not be relevant, but the release date on this was moved forward by two months, hope the extra wait is worth it.

    • Chatdimension

Well it seems it’s been extended until August 27th, yep it went from March all the way to August’s end, makes me wonder why it’ll take a whole 2 seasons…
