Initial D: Arcade Stage 8 Infinity Is Revving Up For Location Tests

By Eugene . January 12, 2014 . 11:00am

Initial D: Arcade Stage 8 Infinity will begin location tests around Japan’s arcades, with two on the 18th and 19th of January in Osaka and Tokyo.

(Note that this is an actual racer, and not the same as Initial D: Perfect Shift Online for 3DS.)

This latest version includes a new Factory mode and a D Coin function for purchasing special parts. For added fun, the LED lights for Infinity are also synced up to what happens while you drive.

The picture with the three drivers standing there….is that 3D cel shaded character models? Or a lame static 2D screenshot?

    • Rolling Guy

Cel shaded. It’s been that way since Arcade Stage 4. They began including race scenes on the entrance and ending scenes in 5 IIRC or was that in 6?
