Ride The Romance Care And Visit Hakone In New LovePlus+

By Spencer . January 17, 2014 . 1:42am

l_52d7ea5997dc9 New LovePlus+ has real life romantic date spots to visit like Nikko, a mountain area with shrines to see, and new for this game Hakone. Hakone is not far from Tokyo and on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji.

This travel date event is pretty close to real life. You start your journey by riding one of Odakyu’s Romancecar trains, which take you from Shinjuku to Hakone. Once you "arrive" you can go on a tour and see sites and ride a pirate ship.

That’s not something Konami added to the game. Hakone *really* has pirate ships for people to ride. All Konami needs to make this a proper Hakone date are the kuro-tamago (black eggs boiled in the hot springs) and a trip to the onsen.

New Love Plus+ comes out on March 27 for Nintendo 3DS.

I feel this entire genre could get a revolution by using the AR features on the 3DS (and also the Vita). The original DS couldn’t incorporate any of it due to a lack of camera until DSi.

I am hoping Konami making loveplus style of game for Vita like this anime :(

    • Destroy Him My Robots

New Love Plus does have a Create-a-Date feature where you could take photos, select some animated poses (so for example the girlfriend could sit down on or lean against something), and add some information about the photo’s contents so they could say something like “Wow, it’s really bright here!”

It’s rudimentary, but given the limitations of the 3DS CPU I’m not sure it could handle much more.

Does this series get addicting? I might pick this new one up, since New Loveplus apparently was bug-ridden.

    • Destroy Him My Robots

In real-time mode you’re supposed to check in 3 or 4 times a day, so I’d say it’s definitely trying to be habit-forming, more so than Animal Crossing. Oh, and the bugs in NLP got patched out, but it still ran badly and the UI was overall very unresponsive.

I got the first game as a joke gift for Valentine’s day and would up playing it daily until…Hm, probably at least October! :P And that had barely half the features and content that NLP+ is set to have. Definitely can get hooked on it.

And yes, New Bug Plus was so bad that this game is essentially an apology. So…hahaha.

      yes…it does
