Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds For Vita Bumped Back Two Weeks

By Spencer . January 23, 2014 . 12:18am

image Mages delayed the release of Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds by two weeks. The game Vita version of the beat ‘em up was supposed to come out on February 13 and has been rescheduled to February 27.

The Vita release doesn’t have a release date for North America, but the game is already localized. Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds is available now on Xbox 360 and a PlayStation 4 version is in the works too.

A PS4 version? Only Japan or worldwide?

A PS4 version is in the works – no word about it being released everywhere.

Did you guys read the article?

Well, I did, unless there’s an option to toggle the text and story stuff in English, then it would be nice, but other than that, its still a rather good pick-up-and-play game. :3

          • Crazy_O

Ah well since it’s the console version it’s rather easy to buy it on the jp psn store.

          • NeoStrayCat

Yeah, but who knows when the PS4 version will come out one day. >_>

      • Landale

By the looks of it yes. The question’s a decent one, though it could’ve been worded better. I’m not seeing anything about a western release for the Vita version, which would raise questions about a PS4 version.

    • Godmars

Given that the PS4 is region free, it wont matter.

      Unless its DL only.

  • Ladius

I look forward to the localized version, I loved Scott Pilgrim and this looks really similar.

    • Death Metal

Sorry to break the expectation, but it’s not even close. Scott Pilgrim was really good, but this one doesn’t do the similar graphics justice. I downloaded the demo for the 360 thinking the same – the art really grabbed me – but gameplay isn’t nearly as good, unfortunately. This coming from a fellow Scott Pilgrim player.

      • NeoStrayCat

To me, both games have similar styles of graphics, but both games are good in their own right. I know your expectations here are very low for this, but a few fans here know that their expectations are high here.for it more.

        • Death Metal

You might be more on the spot than me, but I felt I should warn someone of my experience. But, true, it will probably change depending on somebody else’s tastes.

          • NeoStrayCat

Well, yeah, at least the game is still having more support by adding new features and characters soon. :3

    and it begins

    • NeoStrayCat

Soon, very soon, hopefully both PS (Vita/PS4) ports come over worldwide too, and hopefully at the same price as the XBLA version.
