Get Married In Ciel NoSurge This Weekend

By Spencer . January 28, 2014 . 1:55am

imageCiel NoSurge, Gust’s communication game for PlayStation Vita and prequel of sorts to Ar NoSurge, is about interacting with Ion. You can have dinner with her and go on dates, all on your Vita of course. Starting on January 30, players will be able to marry her.

Dengeki PlayStation reports an update scheduled to go live on January 30 will allow players to propose to Ion. If she accepts you can experience newlywed life with her.

  • MitsukiIX

Well Ion is a cutie but eh… im not so sure about this.

  • AlphaSixNine

    • Arrngrim

      Want localized so bad….

      • YOU AND ME BOTH!

      • Kai2591

        Very, VERY bad…

    • Ric Vazquez

  • lol, kinda weird to be honest… Anyway I assume that the “player” in ciel no surge is that robot guy that is with Ion in Ar no surge?
And I wonder if they are going to localized this game into a single cart after all episodes are released….

    • More importantly, I wonder if they’re gonna localize this in one cart after all the updates are out.

      • Keksus

Maybe they’ll do that and release it for PS3? Would make sense with Ar No Surge coming to PS3.

    • Kai2591

Weird indeed. I mean, the ‘player’ is a frikkin terminal! lol

buuuut I guess true love triumphs over all and all that lol.

  • neocatzon

Next patch should include empty love, break up phase and divorce. Followed by remediation and forgiving phase. Leaving a multiple ending path. This game will be a legend.

    Sorry, I’m just bored.

    • Croix Zapp

would be great with yandere route

      • KuroNathan

quiet Yanderes are the most sincere and pure

    • Bunzi

Ending it at just the break up and divorce would be great. She takes the kids and half of what you own and the rest of the game is just awkward conversation and reminiscing at Burger King while you pick your daughter up for the weekend.

  • MrSirFeatherFang

Seems like now… everybody’s working for the weekend!
    Hopefully, we can propose under a table after she wakes up, it’s how Miau would’ve wanted it ;_;

  • I would marry her, but she lives overseas and can’t get to my country lol

    • Anewme…Again

Yeah and long distance relationship rarely work well for long lol

    • Linhua

      … lol… well said.

    • Kai2591

    • Anthony Birken

I’m late with this comment, but this just made my day~

      • Better late than never lol. Happy I was able to make your day lol =^_^=

  • tubers

    Can she have kids? xD

    • tarbis

      maybe after this patch? XD

  • MrTyrant

I’m interesed in how this will affect Ar no Surge since I believe they said you can transfer data from Ciel to Ar. In the latest trailers I keep seing that Io interact with the “player” while the other girl interact with the main character.

    • Kai2591

Exactly. Does this mean the ‘player’ (i.e Earthes) in Ar Nosurge is already married to Ion in that game?
That is, if Earthes really IS the ‘player’ from Ciel Nosurge as everyone suspects….

      • MrTyrant

Well she kissing the screen and basically the “player” choosing the response in her cosmosphere are very suggestive.
My only complain is that I would a similar feature with other girls.

      • The opening movie that Gust released pretty much confirms that Earthes is the player from Ciel Nosurge. The opening text of the movie cites a “god” from another world as a savior and states its name as “Earthes”.

Considering that the Ciel Nosurge story basically requires your action to repair Ion, and Ion herself seems to be the crux for saving the world from the dying star, the implication is pretty strong that Earthes==player.

If they are crossing data over from Ciel Nosurge to Ar Nosurge then the marriage will copy over as well more than likely.

        • Kai2591

Then the more reason we need BOTH games localized! :)

  • Romancer Ecclesia

I’m gonna facepalm if this is localized into Chinese as well…

    • Kai2591

      HAHA good one

  • Linhua

    … DEAR NISA,

    • EtherealEarth

I am ready to attend your wedding.

      • Linhua

        … you’re all F#$%ing invited.

        … lol.

    • AzureRyuujin

Shame Koei is who we have to beg these days >:

      • Linhua

        … oh wait no YOU’RE RIGHT .-. I forgot THIS IS GUST… @[email protected] … FFFFFFFFFFFF- SHHHHHHHHHHH-

        … Damn… =

        • AzureRyuujin

Ah hell, I’m begging anyway c:

    • Ric Vazquez

I’m be your best man lol

  • sakiu

The game is pretty interesting, I played it a little when it was released on Japanese PS+, but it has one fatal flaw for someone who doesn’t live in Japan, their servers operate in Japanese Time Zone, so sadly Ion is sleeping during hours that someone in Europe has just finished work and wants to play instead :)

This sadly ruined my experience with the game.

But if there is some workaround around that? I would be glad if someone can share it with me :3

    • Kai2591

      wow what a flaw haha

    • icecoffemix

The game is synced to server? What happen if you modify Vita internal clock and disable wifi?

      • sakiu

Well connecting to servers during my first launch had to do something for me as nothing helped, I did try changing VITA’s clock also disabling wifi, and Ion would always go to sleep around ~16:00 (4pm). As you progress you can unlock an option to go to sleep with her together, but this doesn’t help, as she will wake up around 3am anyway, so after some time I gave up.

      • The game is online-only. Your version of Ion’s state is managed entirely server side, so there is no stand-alone Ion.

That said, you can get Ion to shift to your time schedule. You can get her to agree to different bed times and wake up times, and once shifted if you keep it consistent then she will match up with your schedule.

The biggest problem though is that if your Vita’s timezone is not set to Japan time then you have issues setting times since the clock doesn’t abstract. I just run my Vita in JP time and convert as necessary.

        • icecoffemix

Sounds like a solution albeit awkward, there you go @sakiu

        • sakiu

          Thanks, will try that when I have some time, I got to the point were I could ask her to set wake up time, but she still insisted the ones I didn’t like, seems like I should have been more persistent and just try to change them a little each time ^^;;

Oh and I got a second vita for my JP account, so I might as well set the timezone permanently ;o

    • brostar

That’s a pretty shitty idea to have the game unplayable at certain times. Even in Japan what if you worked the night shift? Or what if you can’t sleep and you just want to play a game.

      • sakiu

Just to clarify, whats affected is the interaction with Ion in her room, the other part, which is diving into her subconscious is not affected, but still interaction with Ion is a big part of the game so…

  • nororu

    —>”if she accepts you” /./<

  • fairysun

Is she the only girl you can marry in this game?

    • MrTyrant

Yes… this games is like a datim simulation but everything around that girl only. That is a problem because if someone dislike Io then this game and some parts of Ar no Surge would totally turn them off.

  • s07195

I get a feeling that this has to do with Ar noSurge… >.>

  • Yan Zhao

Its bad enough I want Ar nosurge, but this game getting localized is almost impossible :<

  • Learii

I wish its would localized so I can go out a date with her and married her

  • Rudy Soto

I can’t help but feel like that mecha character “Arshes” or whatever is the POV protagonist in Ciel no Surge, considering its apparent connection to Ion in Ar no Surge.

    • MrTyrant

      Soooo…Io is mechafilic?

  • Prinny Dood

I would like to marry her but it be awkward since she speaks japanese and I speak english :-) hmm maybe we could hire a translater.

    • leingod

      Yes. Definite hire a translated.

  • Callonia

I need a good excuse to buy the PSP Vita, and this game is it. Now only if IT gets translated…

    • Juan Manuel M. Su├írez

PSVita, PSP stands for Playstation Portable~.

      • Callonia

        ok thank u xD

  • Kornelious

Welp, marrying NPC’s is always a seller for me. Localization please….

  • Loli Summoner

A dating sim game…hmmm…ahh wth. I’ll be alone forever anyway,I’ll port this.

  • DarkLight

Wait so is this like a dating/life sim or something?’Cause if so…..I WANT IT.Any chance of this getting localized?
