By Sato . February 4, 2014 . 11:35am

Soul Sacrifice Delta is an updated version of the original dark action game by Keiji Inafune, featuring new twists to familiar stories straight out of Grimm’s fairy tales. Famitsu’s latest issue gives hunting game fans something to look forward to, as it reports Delta will also come with a demo for Freedom Wars on PlayStation Vita.

According to the magazine, those who purchase Soul Sacrifice Delta will receive an early access ticket for the upcoming demo of Freedom Wars, the upcoming Vita action place that takes place in a dystopian setting, where mankind has to fight giant enemies and other groups of society to acquire resources to keep on living.

Those who preorder Soul Sacrifice Delta will get additional costumes for the game. Additionally, players who have save data from the first Soul Sacrifice can use it to get a Toukiden collaboration costume.

Soul Sacrifice Delta will be hitting stores in Japan on March 6 for PlayStation Vita.

  • I hope they do something like this in other areas as well.

  • MaximDualBlade

We will already have Toukiden when this hits the called west continents, so I want those bonus and also a early access to Freedom wars demo.

In conclusion: I want want this stuff too

  • Damm, this news nearly made me want to buy Delta, just because of FreedomWars Demo Acess that comes included. o_o

    • British_Otaku

There was a similar “trap” with God of War Ascension and a demo of The Last of Us. :P

I imagine they bet on increasing the sales of both titles in either case by getting people who are interested in X to try out Y’s demo and follow the promotional materials till they are convinced to buy or people interested in Y who really want to try a demo as it isn’t on the store for ages to pay for a copy of X and perhaps increase their interest in the X series.

      • Lucky Dan

God of War Ascension is a better game than last of us. It was good but not as good as magazines claim it be, 90 mins of cutscenes, 8 hrs of exploration and 2 hrs of combat which most of the combatants can be one shotted with a molative cocktail or a bomb which means 0 harm comes your way.

        • British_Otaku

I haven’t played either game and don’t really hold a “like” or “dislike” opinion despite loving Naughty Dog and not having much of an interest of the type of game that GoW is (I’ll give all of the games a spin for a tenner each for sure).

Narrative driven games rarely aim for outright difficulty, given that most of the combatants are human or based on normal people, them having relatively little tolerance for damage in comparison to gods or Resident Evil monsters is pretty normal.

My point was that they can benefit from both fanbases (X and Y) growing to like or care about the other a bit through this, though not in particularly large numbers probably.

          • Lucky Dan

It would of been a very good Narrative driven game, if it didn’t outright copy the Walking Dead almost scene for scene in the comic books and the TV series, which was going alright until the ending of the game which was complete drivel and done on the pretense of making it more of a cash cow.

The ending uggh, it was very out of character which no one hardly was singing praises about. To see the idea how terrible the ending was watch Transformers Dark of the Moon: the very last fight between Optimus and Sentinel Prime where Megatron saves Optimus and kills his savior and a fallen foe unarmed which is what he never does.

Heh, if I bought this I’d just play the FW demo and never touch SSD

    • neocatzon

Lol, think in reverse. You bought FW demo for free SSD~

      • Steven Higgins

I’m not really a fan of hunting games. It’s the world of FW that interests me, especially the part about people being branded as criminals the moment they’re born. i’m hoping to find out why.

  • TheExile285

SSD, Freedom Wars & GE2 should all have crossover content with each other IMO.

    • Kaien

      It’s only a matter of time. :D

    • DarkLight

You’re forgetting tokuiden although it already had a crossover with GE2.

      • TheExile285

You mean Toukiden already had a crossover with SS. Left it put because of that and I’m not sure what content it could take from GE2 or FW.

I would rather see content from Ninja Gaiden/DoA/Dynasty Warriors in Toukiden tbh.

        • DarkLight

Oh I thought it was GE2.

    • Ric Vazquez

And they all should be localized too!

  • Kumiko Akimoto

Well looks like I’m gonna have to import

  • Earthjolly

All the Vita’s hunting game are crossing over, promoting each other. Its like they stand together to withold Monster Hunters barrage of attacks :P

    • Ric Vazquez

      Let’s hope it’s effective.
