Watch Someone Do A Monster Hunter 4 Quest In The Zelda Gear

By Eugene . February 6, 2014 . 1:28pm

During the frenzy of Monster Hunter 4 news last year, Nintendo and Capcom announced that Nintendo-themed DLC was being released for the game.

These included costumes for your hunter such as a Legend of Zelda Link costume and weaponry alongside other little nods to the platform the monster-hunting action RPG was on.

After that initial flurry, however, we didn’t really get much news on it. Not anymore, as YouTube channel Rising Fun Games has kindly given us a near-20 minute montage of the Super Mario Bros. Felyne costume DLC quest while wearing Link’s gear.

Monster Hunter 4 is available on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. An updated version, titled Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, will be released in the west in early 2015.

The set’s decent for getting more stuff and an Awakening alternative, but overall it, like most fancy DLC sets, it isn’t too useful offensively.

I do like how you can change the color of it though, not just a belt color. Rainbow scheme looks cool over it.

  • Destiny13777

If we get this over here I can already see it being a Nintendo Zone exclusive.

It may in the beginning, but these quests become standard DLC ones after awhile. The Mario and Luigi one recently became one, so the LoZ one will eventually.

    • Judgephoenix

We are getting MH 4 Ultimate next year.

      • Destiny13777

        I meant the DLC quests.

  • konsama

Armor looks really cool, and that emerald conga so lulz

  • Hector Velar

Is this a Nintendo 64 port? because those graphics date back to that era…

    • yukisama

Uh, the screen of the 3DS is like half the size of that video, dude on the smaller screen it will look better
MH4 graphics will be better than 3u

      • Hector Velar

no excuse copare it to the new sonic coming out. it is much crispier, better textures and not as polygonial as this monster hunter game is. it honestly looks like it was developed for an n64. Sorry to offed fans, i see you guys quickly went to defend it (thou i dont get what you get from it, it is not like they are paying you for it) but be honest step back and look at it again compare it to other releases. now the game maybe fun as hell and for that who cares about graphics looking old.

    • konsama

Wow i don’t recall N64 looking this good. My mind must be derping.

      • konsama

lol seems i made sonybrobot mad.

    • batman999

you should watch my videos review , MH4 looks better than any monster hunter released this far ,even the Japanese PS3 one.

      part 2

  • Chaos_Knight

I think the DLC should of included some Zelda enemies. Dodongos would be perfect for MH.

  • Lalum

Any video without the 2 guys over it?

  • Lol! Since the announcement of 4 Ultimate, I started watching this guy’s videos to get my Monster Hunter fix. He uploads a new walkthrough video weekly and does do online quests randomly and posts them. This is one of them. If you want to see him actually GET the Zelda gear, then you’ll want these 2 videos.

  • Namuro

Can’t wait to get the costume! I already have the weapons ready, but not the matching clothes!

Also, I just checked the DLC update. The Zelda costume will be available for download on Valentine’s Day! Oh joy!

  • HOLY ****! How many down voting trolls are on this thread!? O_o

    • yukisama

nah just looks at Hector Velar , he has 138 votes but why only guest votes??

      • That actually helps prove my point. His comment is a negative one, so the trolls up voted him instead. You can’t see who down voted, but you can see who up voted.

    • Namuro

Probably just one. One sad, sad human being…

Some people just make it their life’s goal to be a killjoy. We’d better move on with our lives, and our games.

  • I thought it was some Hyrule Warriors screenshots

  • J_Joestar

they better not remove these when 4U comes out >_<
