Hide All Sharp Objects! These Girls From Yandere Hell Are Crazy

By Sato . February 11, 2014 . 2:01pm

Some of you may have had odd girlfriends (or boyfriends) in the past, but I don’t think they have anything on the girls from Nippon Ichi’s upcoming visual novel, I Thought It’d Be Harem Paradise But It Turned Out Yandere Hell. We previously got a look at their sweeter sides, but the latest report reminds us that roses have thorns—and by thorns, we mean baseball bats, scissors and knives.

Haruka Arisue:

Her excessive love towards the protagonist sets Haruka off with violence. Early on was simply just a bit clingy towards him, but after a certain incident, her remarks towards him began to steadily escalate.

Haruka can’t control her jealousy and desire to possess the protagonist, which leads to violent actions… where even her most loved man is no longer safe.

Kanna Toutoumi:

Stalking, wiretapping, and secretly taking photographs are just some of the things Kanna does in an attempt to have the protagonist all to herself. She even has a room with an entire wall dedicated to a collage of pictures of the guy!

After the certain incident, it is said that Kanna disappeared for some reason. She won’t be showing herself much, but as the story goes along, you’ll notice a stalker, and an uncomfortable feeling of being watched.

Sayuri Miyasu:

Sayuri’s goal was to apply all of the protagonists ideals onto herself, so she could finally imprison him. While she may seem like the most decent one out of the other girls, she’s actually the most mentally unstable.

She takes little things from the protagonist, such as used straws, hair, and nails, so she can add it to her collection. She loves him so much that she could just about eat him, and literally, not in a cute way. After the incident, she actually imprisoned the protagonist and tried to “take care” of him.

For some reason, a blood soaked costume of Izaemon was found at the horrific crime scene in town. As the story goes on, the protagonist’s heart will slowly start being engulfed by a dark feeling of suspicion as to who could’ve been wearing the costume.

While the costume itself might look cute, just thinking about the creepy thoughts of the person who wore it, is enough to make you think twice about the girls you first thought was a harem paradise.

I thought it’d be Harem Paradise but it Turned Out Yandere Hell will be released on April 24th, 2014 for PlayStation 3 in Japan.

  • greeeed

    rofl…… poor MC

  • otakumike

    Ok, that’s eveything sharp…
*forgets to hide the baseball bat*

    Oh noooooo!

    • konsama

I would rather die quickly from a sharp object than from something like a spoon forced inside like a sharp object. :/

  • Serge

And i thought my love life was bad.

    • God

I think you mean non-existent, but i know what you mean…

      • Serge
        • God

PD: i just realized my comments, even the ones that are not insulting or anything, are getting downvotes, *gasp!* has the day finally come? Did i finally get me some haters :D?! Or did i leave mi douche mode on when commenting… hmm…

          • 愛憎

Please be respectful. Why would you want a negative reputation?

          • God

Respectful in what sense? Of religious people? When have they respected the beliefs of others? And the open minded ones shouldn’t mind about a little teasing, and about the negative reputation, beacuse trolling is fun, not the kind of trolling that gets you into 100 comments fights with others, but the kind that allows you to say “BUUUUUURN” at the full extent of your lungs, or at least laugh a little.

          • 愛憎

Whoa. Nope. I don’t care at all about your username. When my friends say, “Oh my God!” I reply, “Yes, my son/daughter?”

I’m referring to “I think you mean non-existent, but i know what you mean…” It’s just a canned, mean-spirited response. That might be fun with friends, but assuming that or joking about that on the internet with a person you’ve never met is just ignorant and rude. You never know what another person is going through, so just keep others’ feelings in mind.

          • God

Oh, sorry, i have recieved a few complaints over my username so i thought that was it, on a side note, are you new on the internet? If you have the possibility to jokingly insult someone, it’s almost rude not to do it… and if you take seriously what random people joke about in the internet, well, don’t use comment sections.

          • 愛憎

I recommend reading the rules on this site. It’s a bit different than what you might be used to. I tend to keep off out of most comment sections because of people like you, in fact. That’s why I like NeoGAF. ^^; I treat people the same on and off the internet.

          • God

Oh PLEASE, are you telling me know a little joking and teasing is forbidden? Screw it, i have freedom of speech, and i intend to use it.

          • 愛憎

            Hahaha. Oh, God.

          • Ni ~Algidus~

you’re God. you always had haters and were always considered a douche

          • God

Hahaha, guess you are right, didn’t expect them to follow me to siliconera though…

  • DHInc

I wouldn’t have guessed with a title like I Thought It’d Be Harem Paradise But It Turned Out Yandere Hell that any of the girls would be crazy.

  • Loli Summoner

Oh…my god O_O you know I don’t like VN but this…this seems really interesting. I will be watching this on youtube.

  • This strangely arouses me.

    • God

It didn’t arouse me, but it did put a slasher smile on my face, does that count?

    • Not strange at all my friend lol

    • Juan Andrés Valencia
      • TheBlackRabbit

LOL the music placement was simply ridiculous…..XD

        • Juan Andrés Valencia

Kanako Itou ALWAYS makes things better. Even if it’s just a single song in an excruciating 20 hours of a visual novel about a personality lacking horndog sleeping with EVERY woman in the school while also breaking their psyches.

      • Areuto

        I got that ending TWICE!

    • Crimson_Cloud

What? The fact that girls love every inch of your body and would do anything to get you or you find thrilling that you will be stabbed and killed in agony by a psycho girl? XD

  • God

Oh please Kami-sama, let this be localized! I’ll even give you jurisdiction over germany if you do!

    • Renaldi Saputra

how can be this type of game being localized?

      • God

I don’t know and honestly i don’t care, i just NEED IT, think of all the insanity it will contain in one tiny disc!

  • Freakmasta

    LOL @ the title…

    • God

3 posts too late my friend.

  • Pandakids09 .

time to import and look for a online guide! :)

  • xAtKx

    Instant import when it’s available.

  • makubexnas

Man, the game is so yandere even a cat try to kill you…

  • Dede Ogbe

RIP the Protagonist. I don’t see a happy ending in this one. But for the love of God what is the ‘certain incident’? what did he do, to push them off the edge? lol the guy has got some poor luck with women

    • GH56734

Something worse than the Nice Boat incident?

  • transferstudentx

hmm love comes in many forms i guess you just have to shut up and take it like a man lol

    • Dede Ogbe

yeah, especially when dealing with Sayuri Miyasu apparently

    • neocatzon

“Take It Like A Man” ~ anon.

“I’ll take all of your love!”, said him. Seconds later, his vision went dark. Squishy sound can be heard from upper part of his face. Liquid flowing on his cheek, but he believe he is not sheeding any tears.

*Thud* *Thud* *Splice* Lukewarm feeling spreading all over. What’s this? I’ve never felt this before.. Overcompassing warmth. Something warm spilling out from the center of his body. *Thud*

*BAM* hard hitting sound can be heard from the room. Hard enough to wake a cat sleeping in the attic. The cat filled with curiosity, peeping from the small hole unconcerned by the room’s inhabitants. The boy’s most important treasure is taken by the girls.

What are they doing? Thought the cat. Three girls, one boy. Ahh, this must be what they called a “harem”, must be nice for him. Thus the black feline continue his rest while hoping he doesn’t get banned from posting this narrative.

Good thing I have three lives…

        Wait, make that two.

      • God

Where is that from? i simply must know where all that insanity came from!

        • 愛憎

          The motivational poster? Bakemonogatari.

          • God

Is the character really that insane? Or is it something that is shown on rare occasions?

          • 愛憎

Oh, no. She’s just quite eccentric. Pretty polarizing series. I personally don’t love it, but it’s interesting. Seems like it has a pretty big fanbase, though. I never forget to brush my teeth. (From the sequel)

It’s got a lot of crazy shaft animation and witty dialogue, but it’s pretty subjective whether or not that is your kind of thing.

  • Oh my God I want this game! There are no limits to how epic and interesting of a story this is. I seriously fell in love with this game lol. The looks on the girls faces in Yanderee mode are simply orgasmic, and crazy which makes me want this even more. I really want this to get localized, but importing as well to give my support =^_^=

  • konsama

This is next gen survival horror.

    • makubexnas

yeah…zombi or monster kinda outdated any way.

    • The best kind of survival horror =^_^=

I couldn’t agree more, love to see a game like this brought to the next level upon the PS4.

        • I can picture how amazing it would be =)

Insanity and madness taken to it’s limits… I LOVE IT!

Dude, you just gave me an idea for another RPG maker game. If I ever finish this game I’m making, I wanna make that.

  • MogCakes

that mascot has a knife! THE KILLER IS REVEALED

  • Juan Andrés Valencia

So it’s basically a SFW version of this? http://vndb.org/v1303

    • kaotron

Pretty much, I wonder how they’re gonna pull off a G-rated game full of yanderes…

and It’s funny how that game from the vndb link is named “Yandere” but the game was a complete guro fest that made me forget all of my knowledge relating to human anatomy.

      • $18114340

G-rated? The “G” stands for “Gore”.

      • Juan Andrés Valencia

Wait… you actually played it? I knew about it but that’s it XD

        • kaotron

never played it(looked plain and boring) but i saw some of the pics, and they’re just hilarious…

          • Juan Andrés Valencia

Yeah, I did see the NSFW pics, they are… something. Something mindblowingly childish and stupid but something indeed.

        • Kumiko Akimoto

I’ve played it i can confirm it is very gory very very.

    • Kumiko Akimoto

Probably a better written version as well.

      • Juan Andrés Valencia

I wouldn’t be shocked about this.

  • KoRLumen

I need this in my life.

  • kaotron

I wonder just how many bad ends this game has…

  • TheManWithPants

If I was the main character, I’d say, “Last one alive gets to have me.” Then, while they all kill each other I slowly walk away from the room all stealth like and go unnoticed, then I’d proceed to run like hell and call the Police. But this won’t happen in the game since this requires common sense, and the story wouldn’t be as interesting if the main character had some.

    • Landale

The thing is if you’re alone in a room with multiple yanderes that are interested in you, you’re probably bound and gagged and they were already planning to kill each other and you for associating with the others. And even if you were free to move, do you truly believe none of them would notice you leaving, a major “please restrain and/or kill me” request to a yandere, when they’re disturbingly fixated on you to begin with?

      • TheManWithPants

This is why you should always carry a switchblade with you wherever you go.

        • God

A switch blade can’t protect you from the insanity and madness of a yandere, much less of the combined killing potential of 3.

  • Joseph A. Garcia

If you wanna support Localization, leave a post on the NISA forums! http://www.nisamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14174&p=710469#p710469

    • Renaldi Saputra

1 thing, NISA won’t localize any VN, even though they’re known as the one who brings niche games, but for VN, nope..

if there’s any VN, it maybe is just disgaea. But to be sure, it’s intended only for disgaea’s long fanbase

    • Shiki

I just made an account at the forums to support it after you linked it!
      Let’s make this happen guys!!
Everyone needs to make a forum post about localizing SAO: Hallow Fragment too @ Namco Bandai forums (if they have one or Facebook).

      • Renaldi Saputra

for SAO, you can post on Bandai Namco UK forum about the localization support, the USA one had been being terminated since about a year ago..

    • God

The only thing I know for real is that blood will be shed.

      • kaotron

yeah, I think so too because it’s not like they are going to make this game extremely violent and gorey

  • Göran Isacson

So it’s essentially a regular VN, but with violent murder instead of sex scenes when you succeed at someons route.

    Welp. There’s fans for everything…

    • DyLaN

It can go many ways, really. Also sex scenes and violent murders are not mutually exclusive in some works.

  • z_merquise

What’s so appealing with crazed psycho girls anyway?

    • CirnoLakes

Do you want to know? Because I can certainly explain it to you as someone with hybristophilia.

Well, attraction to yandere characters and criminals isn’t quite the same thing. But I think there’s a lot of similarities and overlapping qualities.

    • neocatzon

I wonder.. Their form of interaction is interesting to watch but should not be touched upon. Kinda like expensive painting maybe..

    • JustThisOne

Hmm, I can’t say that applies to real life people, obviously, but I think crazy characters are more interesting that normal characters. Or at least stereotypical “normal” characters in anime. Why have a tsundere childhood friend, or a serious straightforward student council prez when you can have a crazy crazy crazy girl? :>

    • Lalum

They love you so much that they’re willing to do anything to be with you. ANYTHING.

      • CirnoLakes

That’s a nice, simple way of putting it.

Some people want to be wanted. And Yandere is an extreme form of that. The idea of a woman being extremely in love with you is appealing to some.

It is also a part of why Yandere appeals to me.

  • RunningWild1984

I don’t get Japan and their fetish for disturbed young women.

    • CirnoLakes

It’s not just a Japanese thing. Also, Tsundere is far more popular.

Japan has a variety of personality types and a variety of people that find them attractive. Being attracted to disturbed people, violent people, or criminals, isn’t a new thing, and isn’t a Japanese thing.

Hybristophilia is a long documented phenomenon.

      • I think what he meant was, no one really fetishizes it the same way in entertainment, or as frequently.

        • CirnoLakes

I would disagree that people don’t fetishize it the same way in entertainment. But you may be right about the frequency being more common in anime.

I think that anime and otaku often take escapism and niche fantasies to new levels. So fantasies that may be less common in other entertainment, surface and are more prominent in the manga culture.

          Large post incoming.

One thing I like about the otaku culture, is how accustomed to its fans things are. The otaku, or doujin culture in Japan, is a bit like the indie gaming or indie comics culture in the United States. You also have something like that growing in animation with Kickstarter projects like Bee and Puppycat. You wouldn’t find something like Yume Nikki so easily outside of Japan outside of the indie development community. And otaku are a community of people who buy and support niche products that they like.

While Disney is nice, the relationship between creators and consumers in the doujin otaku model is very nice. There’s a feeling of having something different and special and personal when playing a game like Yume Nikki, as opposed to something with mass market appeal.

And things like this exist in Japan because there’s a growing communication between niche fans and creators, and an increasing symbiotic relationship between otaku and the products they desire.

          • CirnoLakes

[multi-posting to decrease wall of text in a single post, if that’s okay]

One the subject of being problematic.
And more on the subject of a growing grassroots culture.

There are many people who don’t like otaku, but this is one of the only sub, grassroots cultures in Japan with a significant presence in entertainment. And enthusiast media consumers in Japan, or otaku, tend to happen to like romantic fiction. Or fiction that fullfills romantic and sexual desires. Which if both otaku and “fujoshi” for that matter. Many people say this is pandering, and a problem, and certainly a lot of developers take it too far and do it very distastefully. As well as there’s a problem with the oversexualization of female characters and a disparity between how male and female characters are represented in fiction. But the romantic and sexual desires of consumers of entertainment has long been a noticeable and important part of fiction long before video games or even movies existed.

And it seems increasingly like an aspect of otaku culture, at least, that enthusiast fans are far more interesting in romantic and sexual material, than violent conflicts in fiction. And for men almost as much as women. Women’s fiction also tends to have and cater to the fantasies of women readers. Though there’s definitely an unfair gender dynamic, men tend to be more catered to by certain industries, and women far more sexualized.

Again, this isn’t to say that the otaku culture isn’t loaded with horrible problems of extremely backward gender politics and so forth. For every Free!, there’s a dozen more manga with hypersexualized female characters for the sake of hypersexualized female characters. And for every strong, independent, (as much as those are words that are overused to describe female characters, and so people don’t like them due to their overuse or misuse) female characters with their own clear sexuality and non-sexual desires and are comfortable and not repressed in them, there are a dozen other submissive, dependent, and weak willed female characters. And women’s fiction in Japan tends to show signs of repression and internalized sexism, while men’s fiction often shows signs of excess and inequality. For instance, dependent and objectified female characters, while male characters tend to be less sexualized, and even women’s fiction often depicts desirable male characters as being possible rapists. Which shows a lot of backwards gender messages.

The mere presence of romantic fiction being more common for men is certainly not a problem in and of itself. And I’d consider it much preferable to how hegemonically masculine violent power fantasies are the more common in fiction in many countries outside of Japan. Though I know you didn’t say anything about it being bad. I just though I would expand upon it and its meaning sociologically, further.

Fiction like this, again, certainly exists because of the increasing frequency of niche romantic content and niche audiences who are interested in developing and funding niche materials. Pandering is probably not the best word to be used. Materials like this appear to be more focused on romantic than sexual content(not that sexual content is a bad thing, or that sexual content should be desired as “pandering”, which would be antisexual). And because many of the developers develop this because they’re wanting to make materials for other fans, as fans themselves. What many people don’t realize is that many people choose to be developers out of personal passion for these otaku hobbies, and don’t want to pander to broader interests. And that otaku development and writing, is often a symbotic relationship between creator fans, and consumer fans.

Again, with such a growing niche grassroots culture, there is going to be an increasing number of fiction that caters to niche romantic and sexual interests. Unfortunately, the vast majority of that sends completely backward gender message, but I believe I’ve talked enough about that in this post. By the way, the “yandere fetish”, if it is enough to consider it a “fetish”(fetish has become a very broad range of romantic and sexual feelings outside of what is seen as a very peculiarly narrow “norm”). Isn’t a gender backwards one. In fact, hybristophilia, and other similar “fetishes”, have typically and historically been assigned to women. And a lot of people have, and to this day, have used it to justify neurosexism about male dominance being a biological imperative. And being a “violent creeper” is not a problematic stereotype of women.

Again, not that you were saying it was a problem. I just though I would get that out there and make social commentary on the matter.

Or at least, this is what my understanding of otaku culture, and my limited understanding of Japanese culture that it primarily resides in, I have come to the conclusion of. It’s my best estimation of the issue.

As to why Japan has a seeming decreasing interest in violent content and more male interest in romantic content than some other nations. And why Japanese entertainment has fostered such grassroots culture of niche romantic products. Would probably take an even large post about sociology, both in Japan and outside of Japan for contrast, on the subject of sexism and gender roles in courtship culture, the Japanese business world, post World War II violence, masculinity, and chauvanism in Japanese culture, and so forth.

Personally, I see a lot of the “yandere fetish” as one of the more gender subsersive romantic and sexual desires in the otaku culture, in reaction against parts of Japanese or even global culture at large. Which is easily fostered in such an escapist culture where people become comfortable in and soothed by romantic fiction.

Sorry for making an extremely large post about this again. I feel like I could say a lot more on this subject, as well. Especially on the gender roles and business culture that have led to “fetishes” like this gaining prominence. I certainly have a hypothesis or two.

          • Göran Isacson

An interesting post, but I dunno about if Yandere is as subversive as you make it seem. What I see when I look at most fans, is someone who basically still wants a very dependent, very infantilised and very straight-forward girl: she is all about them. She thinks only about them. She breathes only them. She becomes lost and crazy without them. Granted, she is also crazy WITH them, but it seems as if this element of danger, of risk, is always downplayed. It’s like they want the KNOWLEDGE that she is dangerous, a little bit exciting, but in the end this is not what seems to really draw people in. It’s the devotion which most of the fans seem to be all about, rather than the danger and elements of submission, and that… well. That ain’t exactly subversive.

Granted, this is the take of someone who’s not that into yandere, derived from casual study of comments from the most vocal fans. Your post is an interesting insight into another world, I just don’t know if I can believe that your reasons are the main draw for the majority of yandere fans.

          • CirnoLakes

Making a character Yandere doesn’t automatically make them good or not problematic. That’s why, when I talked about otaku culture and how it is subversive towards the larger Japanese culture in general, I did concede that there are many backwards gender ideas that take form within it.

Not all fans are the same, and different people see different things and want different things out of different kinds of character “tropes”.

Certainly, wanting to be loved is an aspect. And this can be taken to problematic levels. It should be noted that just as it is a problem that being attracted to someone “bad” is stereotyped as something that women do. That women have also been stereotyped as crazy and irrational and dependent on men.

But just because of that doesn’t mean that having women of a variety who are interested in men cannot be and often used for something subversive in nature. In fact, if anything, too much are female characters tending to be stereotyped in a sexually repressed fashion, having no sexuality of their own and no sexual or romantic agency.

Otaku culture has a problem of many people thinking that women need to adhere to femininity. But that isn’t relegated to just otaku culture. Not long ago many conservatives, who were unlikely to be “otaku” of any variety, denounced “carnivorous women” as a national problem, as would turn young men “herbivorous and gay”. Otaku culture is far from a vacuum of misogynistic thinking that I am aware some anti-otaku detractors like to think of it as.

And the fact of the matter is I don’t think that most yandere characters fall into problematic stereotypes about women most of the time, and when they do, it certainly isn’t for the fact that they’re yandere characters. One of my biggest issues with the character Gasai Yuno, is that she could have been a perfectly strong character who could take care of herself. But instead, she was quickly turned into a damsel in distress, to signify to male characters that women still “need” them.

Certainly not all female characters should be portrayed as obsessed with male characters. In fact the Bechdel Test exists because portraying female characters one dimensionally, only for their interest in a male character, is a problem. But there’s also a problem of just the opposite. But the other problem of the sexual repression of women. Depicting women in anime who take initiative and are clearly interested in a male character and have their own sexual agency would be helpful. It’s also fine and good for women to be portrayed as creepy and possibly sexually harmful as men are. There’s too much a tendency to depict female characters as disinterested, innocent, and to be won over by a male character. Rather than interested women, seeking men of their own accord.

          • I wish I had something more grand to say or more insight to offer on the subject, since you went to such great lengths to explain your point of view, but I’m kind of with Goran on this one.

It feels like you’re romanticizing what comes down to a fairly basic explanation: that people into the yandere fetish basically want women that are obsessed with them and dependent on them for their happiness.

Well, I do understand. And there will be differences of opinion. I respectfully disagree and think there is more to the yandere attraction than just that.

I definitely do think that the desire to feel wanted emotionally does play a part in why many people find yandere characters attractive. I don’t think it’s about dependency, but I definitely do think that the desire to feel loved, and outwardly loved, is one of the primary appeals of yandere characters.

I don’t think that you can say that men or women who are attracted to possibly violent, criminal, possessive, or mentally unwell people of the opposite sex or same sex, can all be put into one narrow category of motivation.

Just like you can’t put all women with hybristophilia into one narrow category of motivation. Neither can you put men with attraction to yandere characters into one narrow category. Also, by saying that people into yandere characters are into them for these reasons, you’re also effectively trying to put my into a category that I don’t belong into. Since I’m into yandere characters.

Also, there are women into yandere men. Would you consider women who have a (heterosexual) yandere fetish as wanting “men that are obsessed with them and dependent on them for their happiness”?

  • lordsofskulls

o.o i want to play this now… XD just to see how mest up it gets ;3

  • JustThisOne

*_____* The shiba inu! I want to play the shiba inu route first!

  • Ni ~Algidus~

    • O_O! So much win! XD

    • God

Where is that from? I simply must know! The level of insanity in it is simply magnificent!

      • DyLaN

        Mirai Nikki manga/anime.

  • Gojira Twit

Not that I don’t enjoy this, but isn’t revealing their personalities up front just kind of spoiling the point of the game? The information has been so oddly direct that I can’t help but feel like it’s not going to be what it looks like.

    • b150035

Who knows? Maybe they could defy expectations and have a completely happy ending where everyone is happy!

    • Göran Isacson

I think it’s because these people may be more concerned about selling games rather than telling a story. Spoil a twist, but gain the sales of every fan who has this as their fetish. Now they know exactly what they’re getting, which helps them decide if they’re going to buy or not.

  • TatsuyaKyo

Survivor: Yandere Edition! Where four obsessed girls would kill just to be with you! Literally! And everyone in the neighborhood isn’t completely safe! If you chose one girl, you get killed by the others! If you try and choose all, you still die! Don’t choose at all and you die spectacularly in a crossfire when the four engage in a battle royale! In other words, every ending is a bad ending!

  • Earthjolly

Hell yea!! Gonna dump them all

    • neocatzon

Aren’t you the worst ending achiever in last article?

      • Earthjolly

        You remember :D

    • DyLaN

I wonder, does this VNs have trophy for ppl who purposely tried to pursue the worst possible ending XD

    • God

That will end in a very gory way.

  • Kango234

    This actually sounds pretty interesting.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

This will be the greatest game

  • Aesma

    After playing the ‘Yandere’ VN,
Killed by jealous childhood friend, stalked by Masochistic junior who have twisted sense of pain, and having the door of protagonist’s house knocked by crazy teacher until her hands bleed.
I think I am ready for a game like this.
Come at me! I have no regrets!

    • God

A VN about yanderes? i avoid visual with “dating” elements, but something with that level of insanity… TELL ME THE NAME!

      • Aesma

‘Yandere’ is the name. Just search Yandere vndb in google and you will find it.

        • God

          Too bad it’s an eroge…

  • AkuLord3

Oh Yanderes <333 i'll totally get this

  • NeptuniasBeard

Hopefully the game ends with Bruce Willis busting in and shooting the girls in the face. Now I must import, and hope that happens.

    • Göran Isacson

And then the protagonist gets carried out of a burning building in Bruce Willis manly arms. Yes. This ending is the best ending this game could possibly have now.

  • Alberto Maytorena

They’re not yandere, they just have a deep love!

    • CirnoLakes

Motoi Tsunetsuki is my favourite character from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. <3

  • darkbartz

I’m with the guy in the other thread, if this had some combat component to it, it would be perfect. Fight against your yandere harem as you strive towards the ultimate True End, the guaranteed assurance of your life!

  • komiko12

Hmm my guess is that the one in the costume would always be the girl whose route you’re on.

    • Landale

Nah, too easy. It’ll be the guy, and he’ll turn out to be crazier than any of the girls.

  • Leonard Norwood Jr.

Yikes…this is a “interesting” game at least from what I can see. While I’m always asking questions about what goes on in a person’s psyche, you have to admit that you have to give the three “heroines” some credit for liking the protagonist, too bad they are so obsessive that they might be willing cross a line just to get the guy or worse case scenario, go through all that mess only just to kill him and go off to the next guy and do the exact same thing with the mindset they have. That’s just me. Outside the game and in my own opinions, those girls need some psychiatric help, but it’s a visual novel after all, it is the story that’s in the hands of the writers. Beside that I’m sure its going to be something interesting to look into when I get the game someday.

  • Mordina

This is my type of game! I hope a version with male yanderes will be made one day *3*

    Day one import/buy… maybe…

  • TylorW

I hope that this doesn’t come as too big of a shocker, but I’m REALLY hoping that there is “a light at the end of the tunnel” for this game.

What I mean is that I hope that maybe with a bit of luck…ok, scratch that, a HUGE amount of luck, and that same amount in skill, the main guy can make it out alive, and maybe “heal” the girls’ yandere personality so they don’t end up hurting everyone around.

While I don’t imagine the ending coming easy, if not impossible, but I would expect people like those at NIS to give you an almost insurmountable challenge and ask you to figure a way out. That, and I think that there’s enough yandere material ending badly (as in bloody), so it would be nice to at least see that there could possibly be a way to change the “yandere hell” situation into something more manageable.

That’s what I hope for at least.

  • alixraen

This is weird. I don’t get the appeal. Why is everyone so attracted to people who would so easily flip the killswitch?

(honestly though, I don’t understand the appeal of yanderes .__.)

    • DyLaN

You should check out CirnoLakes’s post below which offer a pretty interesting insight abt it.

  • burnfist23

    I see Siliconera hasn’t posted opening/trailer yet so…

  • schen60

    I’ll just leave this here…

  • Testsubject909
